Pakistani Huda and Indian Maneet dated for four years before deciding to tie the knot. But it took some time for their families to accept their relationship.

“It was just that she was from a different religion. Nothing else crossed their minds,” said the groom in a heartwarming video made for their wedding.

“From Jain to Gujarati still you do it, from Gujarati to Hindu still it happens but this was different,” said the groom’s mother. And so, the groom’s family gave him an ultimatum. “They said you either choose her or you leave home…so, he left home,” Huda said.

The 27-year-olds were devastated. Breaking into tears, they narrated the story of their struggle, hoping their families would accept their relationship. “We would not have married until the day they approved the alliance,” Huda told .

“I was hoping that they would at least see that the level of feelings we had for each other; they were quite strong so probably they would call me back,” said Maneet.

Fortunately, the parents eventually gave in and the couple had their beach wedding in Dubai. When asked what made them change their minds, the groom replied, “Love can change someone’s beliefs.”

They ever think what could be their kids? Muslim or Hindu goes to temple or mosque?

Great riddance. I hope india refuses her visa after her talaq

A Hindu Muslim couple having a Christian style wedding...Nice.

The dreamy video shows Huda Amani, the Pakistani Muslim girl and Maneet, a Hindu Jain from India talking about the many ordeals of religion and faith they had to surpass before they finally got to see their dream come true. Amani said how Maneet was asked to either choose her or leave home by his family. And he chose to leave home. There were moments when Maneet was clueless about how things will work out for them, and all he could do at times was hope that his people saw that the feelings they had for each other were strong and that his family will probably then call him back.

But that they managed to bring together their loved ones, putting aside their differences, is surreal.

They're americans first & Pakistanis & Indians later, when you move to west you need to offload the cultural baggage you carry with you. Good luck to them
