If F16s can't be used against India what are they there for?

This is all for a show. In reality, they will be much pleased with the performance of their product against those of the opponent. see the below statement for the article;

"Due to non-disclosure agreements in Foreign Military Sales contracts, we cannot discuss the specifics of end user-agreements contained within," Lt. Col. Kone Faulkner, a Defence Department spokesperson told PTI.

We used american jets in past. We will use it when need arise . Right Now Jf17 is doing good job as Interceptor & and performing multirole as well. PAF is happy with SD10 for air to air engagement and CM AKG 400 for antiship role. For Air to ground, Jf17 also performed well against taliban targets.

Well India should force the the US to supply Pakistan with standoff laser gounded precision crop spraying devices for use on the Spraying Falcons.

Since Indians are pests and pesticides use will have dual use then they will complain that we used chemical weapons against them.

There is no winning with them

No doubt. The F-16 will be used because a) we have them and b) they are potent platforms against IAF. End of discussion.

defense ...
If F16 were for taliban , BVR missiles is for what?
flying kite ?

That's complicated. In a war, you cannot just wait for enemy aircraft to enter your airspace. That sounds like a huge waste of money OR a misunderstanding of the actual terms of the F-16 contract.

"The Indian Air Force on Thursday displayed parts of an AMRAAM beyond visual range air-to-air missile as evidence to "conclusively" prove that Pakistan deployed US-manufactured F-16 fighter jets during an aerial raid targeting Indian military installations in Kashmir after India's anti-terror operation in Balakot."

"Turkey successfully test fired two indigenous air-to-air missiles in the Black Sea province of Sinop, the Anadolou news agency reported. The short- and medium-range Gokdogan (Peregrine) and the long-range Bozgodan (Merlin) were both introduced during IDEF 2017 defense exhibition in Istanbul, Turkey.

SAGE began developping the Gokdogan within visual range and the Bozgodan beyond visual range air-to-air missiles in 2013. They have been developed as direct replacement for TurAF's AMRAAM and Sidewinder air-to-air missiles.

The Gokdogan features high manoeuvrability capability in short range thanks to a high resolution dual color Imaging Infrared Seeker, while the Bozgodan is fitted with an Active Radar Seeker for long-range interception. This Active Radar Seeker is the first one fully developed in Turkey. According to SAGE, it will also be integrated in long-range air defence missile systems. SAGE expects it to reach full operational capability in for 2020.

SAGE's Gokdogan WVR missile is equipped with a smart guidance with launch-and-forget, as well as lock on after launch and datalink update capabilities."

F-16 can be used against India when ever and how ever we want.

The current mission profile better suited jf-17.

Only India imagines F-16s cannot be used against them. Ask them to deny Pakistan from using F-16s against India next time.

On a factual note, Pakistani F-16s didn't cross LOC. Americans will get this evidence and will be up to their satisfaction.

That is why F-16 is never send.. And we still got pakistanis bragging how F-16 is better plane. How they shall go for americans stuff.

PAF made a big blunder cancelling the 36 J10 order done by General Musharaf.
Even now I think PAF should go for J10c to replace the 50 year old Mirages and
the old F16's received in the 1980's.
