India Developing, but still a long way to go

I've done BEST, absolutely fab. re: S.Asia.
They do x2 Delhi Metro is impressive, but BEST needs to move on too.

Gurgaon's private Rapid metro's Golf Course Rd.
And hopefully same Golf Course Rd.'s extension.
It's as good as it gets for me, on par with Hafeez Contractor's architecture ;) .

My Fave Upcoming Projects:
  1. Nariman Point makeover.
  2. Delhi-Mumbai Corridor.
  3. ITIR's
  4. River linking.
  5. Hyderabad's upcoming L&T metro hopefully beats Dubai metro ou.
Not High Speed Rail though. Flying is much cheaper, thrilling and sexy.

Meanwhile, I was stunned to find out that India's fabled IT-ITES
industry attracted a bit more then $ 2 Billion FDI between the golden decade of 2000-2010.
Peanuts, imagine the upside now.

IT-ITES @ $ 108-125 Billion exports, are hitting 25-35 % of all $ 300 Billion exports, and all sectoral exports are trending up. Look at it this way, India's got a $ Trillion ongoing infrastructure spend for another 3-7 yrs. Target 2020.
  • :smitten:$ 108 Billion/yr. IT-ITES is 13 % down payment on said $ 1 Trillion/3-7 yrs.
Rest in 25 yrs. (one gen.) EMI's of 2-3 %. Conservative.

Should be even less re: multi-lateral lending agencies like Japan's JICA or IMF, ADB, Russia, China or Gulf, EU or Asean Sovereign Funds, so yearly payments are ziltch considering infra. projects are paying projects, cater to huge pent up demand and long term loans can always be re-jigged to better business models. JICA funded Delhi Metro's been profitability from the get go meant easy borrowing terms followed spontaneously.

Ok to call infra. seed projects that turn into real-estate windfalls. For eg. CIDCO's Navi Mumbai or dlf's Gurgaon, started during socialist starvation days, are real-estate bonanza's. Also, exports are either niche or sunrise items so keep growing, imports are traditional energy and electronics which keep shrinking with and huge local paydirts coming on stream and upcoming indigenisation or replacement factories. What happens when all the highway and expressway Co.'s leverage off-the-shelf technology to harvest solar power and rainwater from their projects?

Idea! Wanna make it big? - Build your own city along Mumbai-Delhi Corridor a la Gurgaon, be as $ mega billionaire rich as dlf boss.

::enjoy::
The economist in Dr. MMS has kicked Indian PSU shops in shape.
Unbelievably, there's been under-reporting on the govt. whipped PSU turn around. I can feel the vibe's changed. For PSU's, it's no more fashionable to be over-weight, flatulent and bleeding at the same time. There's even been some block-busters like Maruti-Suzuki, Indian Railways and even Air India. Comments?

Making stuff like the monorail in a place like Mumbai is as effin' awesome as any other big ticket infra project anywhere else in the world. Hats off to those who had the vision to make this happen.

where is this development going to start ? Any idea ? who are the developers ?

^^^

Delhi Heights
-Parsvnath Promoters & Developers Pvt. Ltd.

Delhi Heights residential towers are arranged around a large central green space which includes water features, pools, golf, and an expansive lawn — an oasis in the heart of the city.

It is located in the heart of New Delhi with views of landmarks such as Connaught Place, Red Fort, Central Ridge Forest and Kamala Market Ridge Forest.

The project includes 14 residential towers ranging from 39 – 46 floors with unique sky gardens, a 23-floor office tower with retail podium, and a 29-story serviced apartment tower with retail podium.

Dozens, if not 100's such projects across Indian cities. it's the future of S. Asia.

:offtopic:

AAP - Anti abuse, Colonial police brutality and babu harassment.
Congress - Muslims, minorities and the poor are more dear to us.
BJP - Bhumiputra party, sons of the soil-salt of the earth, majority vote-majority rule. Majoriitism.

If I was a 'common man' Indian, police abuse and babu harassment mitigation would be my mid term, 5 yr. priority.
  • Stupid for the fabled Indian middle class not to vote for their own. The fear is that stupid is as stupid does.
Bonus: The 'common man' AAP party assures bijli-paani.

Congress and BJP all superpower this, mega project that.
Heady, potent stuff when paired with cash-&-booze for votes.

Per me, only AAP dared to take on the colonial hangover called Delhi Police.

Cool pic.

Common-Man hero's, India.

Engineers Mrs. & Mr. Murthy, one of 1/2 dozen or so $ billion founders of Infosys.
I was perusing the founders' background on wiki.
  • Solid, small-town middle-class. Off the map kinda upbringing.
All are arub-khrubpati's (mostly $ Billionaires :woot:, now that goes far in India). Indian magic.

Millions ... and long term - billions - more to come-go, fashionable to be $ billionaires these days.

Tradition used to be that only business scions from minority Parsi, Christian, Jewish, Armenian, Syrian Catholic, Ango-Indian, Arab, Chinese, Bohra, Ismaili, Dawoodi, Ahmedi, Barelvi, Marwari, Bania or Jewish were licenced to raj. Times are a changing for the silent majority then.

Okay too much talk about only buildings. What about the social growth? What about the dangers caused by India's mad minority?

I'm just a simple guy.
  • Never mind riddles, pls. spell it out for all of us dummies.
Vs.India 4 Eg.

Unless, you dismiss Indi minorities Azim Premji, Tata's, Hamdard, Ranbaxy, Reliance, Infosys etc.
  • Tata, an Parsi Zoroastrian, over $ 100 Billion.
  • Delhi based Hamdard Co., proudly Muslim owned.
  • Azim Premji, Ismaili Muslim run Co. Wipro: Between $ 15-20 Billion
  • Sikh run Ranbaxy & Co. $ billionaire Singh brothers
  • Gujju Ambani & Co., a minority Sri Krishna 'kaum' from erstwhile Raj-stan; now Gujarat.
  • Infosys - 1/2 dozen minority Brahmins from all over yahoo places in southern India.
I'm thinking, everybody is a minority in India. Better organise, better get a voice.

Note: I'm neither born nor grew up in either Asia or S. Asia, not even close. Parents born UK side, lived Karachi side as much as reasonably possible, gr8 gran lawyer in Lucknow. Religon? Take your best shot, what religion is a multi-generation lawyer family?
