Indian Political Corner | General Election 2014, All Updates & Discussions.

its a perfect plan and will kill the oopri kamai of ghoos khor sales tax , income tax , sales tax and exise dept. corrupt officials while will boost savings of common middle and lower middle class people while it will be a burden on ****** rich and corporates as they will be taxed while people will pay a tax on every cpmmercial transaction above 50000/- there will be almost no tax on rent payments , employ salaries , school fees , small and medium loan EMIs,medicinal payments to pharmecies , hospitals and like

in short the TAX VAT , Exise will be deducted like TDS on source and there will be no VAT taken by traders , shop keepers but they will have to file there sales tax returns and income tax returns as usual

income tax will be taken from people making more than 5 -6 lakh INR annualli and after that there will be slabs on as the income increases

while tax and exise will be lowered on petroleum products , indian made liquar , electronicks , groceries , medicans and medical equipment and other daily use articels while there will be no change in exise policy onforiegn made luxury cars , and other such luxury goods and jwellry

basically all the tax burden will be on businesses.... how do you think business houses will react to this? already Indian companies stopped investing in India.
The tax on rich people on other hand will be very less compared to what they are paying now.

How ? Yeddurappa will support modi from outside what diffrance does it make ?

It makes huge difference my friend. Vote share will be split between KJP & BJP if they contest independently, which would help others. If they merge, then people will not have to choose between the two. Remember... Yeddy's vote bank is from the same BJP pool.

Just 2% on each back transaction and no other tax is not that bad of a deal.

well what i hear is that MODI is formulating a plan so to give ease and push to local indian enterpneur and small scale industries rather than big corporates

on taxation common man with family earning upto 50K per month will get relief while those making above it will pay income tax and VAT and exise will be deducted like TDS now and there will be a new and revolutionarry taxation scheme to monitor and tax all the buisness transactions

this will kill the graft and will help increase the govt revenue while giving much releafe to common man whats wrong in it

Hmmm ye bhi he :( but ye to bjp or kjp ke logo ne bhi soch liya Honga :what:

from where the revenues will come ? abolishing VAT means pleasing traders who mostly support BJP. The VAT constitute 70-80% of state govts revenues from where these huge short fall by states is going to be met ? from where the states will pay its employees when VAT is abolished

Just an idea whose time will never come

well its not that easy and its main goal will to make life easy for commaon man and local buisness while the tax and exise will be collected on sourse but there will be an anuual slab on all the rensactions and the Banks will play a bigger role in it which will not onli help increase the collection of tax but will kill graft and make life easier for local buisnessman and his clients

bro it will take it at least 5 years after GST is implemented to be able to think of limited tax free regime and the opposition used every tool in its kitty in stalling the GST bill to be passed by parliament, this will be the 1st n crucial step towards implementation of tax free regime. I am surprised as why BJP opposed GST which it will try to implement 1st up if it came to power may be politics got better of country's intrersts

It's more to do with what Yeddy expects from BJP for himself. Maybe he is after prime role in Karnataka if his party merges with BJP. BJP will find it hard to give him premier position in the state due to his past behavior. But if they merge, it will be good for both!

Akranthi's Proposals

Withdrawal of existing Taxation System completely (except customs i.e. import duties).
Every Transaction routed through a bank will attract certain deduction in appropriate percentage as Transaction Tax i.e. Single point tax deducted at source. (say 2 %).
This deduction is to be effected on receiving/credit accounts only.
This deducted amount will be credited to different Government levels like Central, State and Local (say 0.7%, 0.6%, 0.35% respectively).
Transacting Bank will also have its share in this amount as the bank has a key role to perform (say 0.35%).
Withdrawal of High denomination currency (say above Rs. 50).
Cash transactions will not attract any transaction tax.
Government should make legal provisions to restrict cash transactions up to a certain limit (say Rs. 2000)

Will it work ?

Gehlot leaves `Youth Festival’ after youths chant ‘Modi Zindabad’ :yay:

Jaipur, September 19 : Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had to leave the ‘Youth Festival’ venue in hurry as the youths gathered for the State Govt’s programme relentlessly chanted slogans in support of Narendra Modi.

This ironic saga happened Wednesday when Rajsthan CM Ashok Gehlot was inaugurating a ‘Youth Festival’ organized by the Youth and Games department of the state. The slogan chanting begun as soon as Ashok Gehlot reached the venue and as he started addressing the rally, the chanting increased to the top of all voices.

CM Gehlot had to cut his speech in midway and he left the venue in a hurry as the police and Youth Congress workers failed to control the Slogan Chanting that hailed BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Modi. :omghaha:

The Youth Festival was arranged by the Youth and Games department of Rajasthan and Rajasthan Youth Minister Mangilal Garasia was present at the venue with Haryana Cong MP Ashok Tamwar.

Rajsthan is scheduled for a assembly election in couple of months.
