Indian version of the 1962 Sino-India war

Oh we are despicable?

Who started the foward policy pal? Yea that right, it was Nehru.

Don't try to deny something you know damn well was the fault of the Indian government's forward policy.

If there was no forward policy, we wouldn't give two hoots about India. Our policy was to repel the Indian forward policy.

You need to learn comprehension skill on the highlighted. On the rest of your post - Nehru's act was just a reaction to what China was doing. The only mistake he made was he did not prepare the army to back his forward policy though he had years to make the preparation. And not giving two hoots then about India - I doubt it - Nehru was strutting along with confidence in the world arena with his Non-Aligned Movement as a leader of third front while China was reeling under the effects of Great Leap Forward.

Nehru created this mess and now you have to cope with it.

India set up 40 something military posts north of Mcmahon Line, you don't deny that fact,do you? and why would China like to have a war at that time.we were in the middle of the worst famine in human history, just had a big fall out with Russia and US and Taiwan were both at reclaiming the mainland China,China was surrounded by bitter enemies and why China needed another one?it's not logical.India,on the other hand, sensed China's weakness and wanted to exploit it and backstabbed China when China was at its weakest.

Think logically, back then we had a small ill-equipped army, and whatever we had were posted against Pakistan in Indo-Pak border. We had only 8000 to 10000 soldiers with little ammunition posted on the China border to guard that vast territory, in short, the border was almost unguarded. Will you call this a preparation of war?

Further, India didn't use air force even after knowing that Chinese had very limited air force capability in that far-flung area, neither India sent further reinforcement to support our heavily outnumbered troops, so that the situation does not escalate further. However, many in India including me see this as a betrayal by Nehru to our troops. If we had any intention to exploit anything, we would have acted accordingly.

These two links will give you some idea about that incident, if you want I can provide you some more links about our analysis of the war, mistakes made, and changes done after.

Actually, Nehru wanted air strike. He requested US for air support, but was refused.
If you read CIA account of 1962 war, a neutral perspective, India was at fault.

Nehru made lot of mistakes and he is still criticized for them, but the war could have been avoided. That single incident changed the relationship between India and China.

Thanks to china in 1962,

Indians seriously realized importance of military preparedness after the disastrous war...

CIA cannot be called neutral perspective as Nehru was strong soviet supporter and India was viewed in soviet camp by americans..

Supporter of Soviet? Why did Nehru ask the US for air support during the war, but not Soviet? India warmed up to Soviet only in the 70s.
And it's not just the CIA report, other international accounts of the war point to the same conclusion. Until today, your govt didn't dare release the Henderson Brooks Report.

we LOST the war because of our unpreparedness and lack of vision , we don't take it as a military or territorial defeat , we take it as a defeat of our belief and vision of a peaceful and progressive Asia , we lost the war in ideology , that China is a partner and friends , that thousands of years of our shared peaceful relationship would shape the next century , we lost the war because Nehru failed in pushing our vision forward , what followed was a huge military build up and an environment of suspicion and above all strained relations with another neighbour. sadly it continues today.

In that case, Indian lost it a long time again when it became British slaves.

India never lost to Britain as a nation . Mughals were weak and under constant attacks by Hindu kings. British took advatage of this fact and supplied Hindu kings with men and arms. After Mughals fell , British empire was established. Then they started engulfing HIndu knigdoms that refused to collaborate with them. For all the truth , the fact remains that India has always maintained a higher moral ground. British imperialism is the dark part of world's and Indian history , even English ignore the topic. India despite all its failures has come out as a brave , resilient and pro-peace nation. That's why the intellectual world community romance with India , Indian history and Indian thought.

China secretly tried to overrun parts of India by Building secret roads..

Its like pretending to be friends with someone and backstabbing.

when India found out the back stabbing, Nehru went for forward policy to show that China cannot continue to take more and more lands. But still he didn't think that China would attack. He still didn't realize that the Chinese did not have any sense of friendship.

There exists no country by the name of India until British created it in 1947. Prior to the British Raj, it was Mughal Empire and a few other kingdoms.
Indeed, the intellect world community romance with India. India history was written by German and British indologists.

Nehru created this mess and now you have to cope with it.

Nehru and the Indian media working in tandem created the mess. Each fed upon the other to create a war fever that resulted in the 1962 border war. The Indian media has remained as hysterical as ever, but India fortunately has not had a leader as egotistical and arrogant as Nehru.

I have a question, why Indians think they lost the last Sino-India War?
I mean after War China still didn't get back disputed land and also didn't request Indian pay back war indemnity. Except both soldiers' casualties it seems Indian didn't lose any interest in last Sino-India War, so why India always say lost the War just cos Indian found they didn't kick Chinese a$$ ???

as India was in strong position in starting of war but proved to be unable to get planned benefits and lost many our soldiers. This was just a failure of Nehru who despite of having upper hand could not do anything to China. we dint even use our superior airforce

Nehru dint deserve to be PM of India
