Every country tries to develop its own weapons, India is not an exception.

I think so, only last one to two years, India is leading importer in all countries, but earlier for several even chinese were the leading arms importers in the world.

Morever, developing own weapons takes time which at present India does not have that luxury of time. Because If China wants to attack India it will not wait till India gets its indigenous weapons.

that was a skirmish, not an attack...duh! a similar thing happened 3-4 years back in the same region.

however, no official confirmation. Just some locals are saying that they heard firing. though in the incident that occurred 3-4 years back, locals claim to have seen a few coffins a ITBP jawans.

It was just a border skirmish in Sango village of Papum Pare district. and no side suffered "massive" casualities.
