India's Tejas and China's Xiaolong fighters compared

A couple of years back their media even ranked Arjun MBT above their own Type-99 MBT while ranking 10 world leading tanks.

Considering that the Arjun Mk1 had beaten the T-90 tank on many critical parameters during trials, the presence of Arjun in the top 10 tanks of the world was no surprise to me. Not implying by this that the Arjun is already one of the best tanks in the world but that we're on the right track. Though some maintenance issues seem to have cropped up recently Army's fleet of Arjun tanks face technical issues; major proportion of 124 tanks in service not operational - The Economic Times

The Tejas is a light multirole fighter fit for the 21st century. It uses a lot of new technology and innovation, such as its use of large amounts of composite materials, its advanced avionics system and its unique aerodynamic configuration. In terms of functionality, the LCA Tejas has good potential to be expanded into variants. For example, at a time when the air force version is yet to be commissioned widely, a ship-based version of the aircraft has already been released. The Xiaolong is a third-generation model designed for the international market. The use of off-the-shelf materials not only cuts costs but also reduces risks in the design process and improves the reliability of the aircraft. This will not make it the best aircraft, but rather a standard, cheap and reliable model for air-to-air combat. In summation, the Xiaolong is the aircraft of today and the Tejas is the aircraft of tomorrow.

Did Chinese media agree that Tejas is technological superior aircraft then JF-17 ? | idrw.org
yes it did but many chinese and specialli pakistani members will never aknowledge it for the obvious reasons :D

Comparing two fighters with whatever specifications/information available in public domains is fine with me but sarcastic comments for no obvious reasons are beyond me. Post#5 was totally unnecessary and so were #10-13, 20, 21 and it continues.
whats ur problm wid post #10?

Where are my ultra nationalist Pakistani brothers? :pakistan:

Sina? Oh come on bros, in Sina and other Chinese sites you'll find articles like "Shocked! J20 can beat F22 without any problem" "China lets JP, US pissed: Chinese ICBM can destroy US in one hour" or some like "Shame! Our ships are 50 years behind USS". If they can be a little more rational then we dont have to discuss on foreign forums.

India is Going to Produce/Manufacture at last 200+ LCA for IAF alone and possibly 40 For IN.
so 200 + 40 = 240.

There is a Reason why Chinese Air Force is not using/Accepting FC 1 ;)

new DM wants at least 4squadsof LCA MK1 with AESA based MLU and better air intakes and lesser drag till the MK2 comes along and for that nagociations are already in final stages with three private palyers as of now

who the fkuc care about JF-17??we must concentrate on new version Tejas.and we should accept fact,Tejas didn't make IAF happy(even F-22 might finds it tough to please them.anyway),and Tejas is supposed to fill lowest ranks of our fighter inventory(Point Defense).we're in advantage here as Tejas is filling its own role, while JF-17 is not. They're serving Frontline,a role light fighters do not intend to serve, but less no of F-16 means Pakistan has no other choice.

Its virtual to compare between two aircraft who are at different stages of Operationalization. Tejas can only be compared with JF-17 when it gets FOC. Till now JF-17 has the edge of having entered active service much before than Tejas. We can not really discuss on WOULD BE part of any of the two aircraft.I am sure all of the members here are quite sensible to rate these two on basis of current status of each aircraft.

All current aircraft in PAF is of IOC standard not FOC.

When their AF won't even want LCA and Modi force their AF to take them, their egos are wounded so they resort to bragging.

So what? China induct hundreds of J10 without even care for its credibility because of their government, even Pakistan is doing that with first version of FC1/JF17.

Same here who cares about LCA. An aircraft under construction since 3 decades and yet to get FOC. Lca has failed to satisfy its only and basic customer IAF.

Whereas paf has 3 sqds of fully operational jf17

Do you even have a single FOC standard fighter out of those 3 sqrdns??

You induct JF17, to which early one of them cant even fire missile.
