There should be a law against stay orders. There should be a law too that election tribunal decisions cant be challenged in Supreme Court. If these laws are not enacted, ET, Election Commission and elections themselves will become a joke.

What jurisdiction supreme court has to overturn ET decision? Or to grant a stay like it did to Saad Rafique? Did Supreme Court conduct elections? Did it investigate or adjudicate on the reference? Right of appeal must be limited to Election Commission only, not Supreme Court.

PTI did not go to Supreme cOurt and hiding behind stay orders. It did not prevaricate like Nooni Toon govt for investigating on 4 constituencies. Results of 3 out of 4 constituencies prove PTI point that there had been rigging.

It does not matter if PMLN wins those seats again. But what matters is that there was rigging.

A speck of honesty is needed to understand this point. You Nooni Toons are actually dinhonest and unscrupulous people so you wont get it.

Why win with dishonesty and when you can win fair.

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Monday challenged in the Supreme Court the verdict by an election tribunal on NA-122 which de-seated him as a Speaker of the National Assembly and MNA.



A lawyer for Sadiq said that his client has not requested the court to issue a stay order on the tribunal's orders. He said that Sadiq has only moved the court against the fine imposed on him.



Sadiq filed his petition in the apex court's Lahore registry.



Last month, election tribunal judge Kazim Malik had de-seated the former NA Speaker after nullifying his election from NA-122 and directed the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to hold a re-election in the constituency.



Sadiq had defeated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan in the May 2013 general elections, but his victory was challenged by the PTI chief in the tribunal.

Everyone has a right to go to the legal courts, whether guilty or not. IK should've used that right too, instead of violence, getting people killed, billions lost and embarrassing an entire country. Sad to see people here supporting a violent fool and calling names to someone who is going to the court instead of calling their opponents bad names, third class language and conducting violence.

The future of Pakistani politics belongs to law, courts and the parliament. Anyone who doesn't want to go here and wants to spread violence instead, should be tried for treason, like they should've last year!

I think he just went there to prove that he was not involved in rigging and it was pure Election Commission fault and their mismanagement that way he can gain the support in re-election that's why he's not taking any stay orders against the decision ... he just want a clean chit from Supreme Court...

i don't think the decision will be suspended... you can say he's taking Precautions before going to the people you Know Lahories
