MS Dhoni gets engaged to school friend Sakshi

They were dating in school?

When he was 16 she would've been 8!

Shifting to member's club

I think this guy flunked and missed a few years of school. But even then 8 years is a big difference.

congrats to Dhoni - The best indian captain

Ahem, not yet. He is still behind the likes of Tiger Pataudi, Kapil Dev and Sourav Ganguly. Maybe if India wins the WC and becomes a ruthless force in Test cricket, he'll be the best Indian captain ever. For now, India is still living the hangover of Dada's finds - Viru, Bhajji and the like. But to his credit, he made sure he continued the progress of the Indian team.

Commiserations due as they are always due when any man gets married and plunges into the trap. His prime, golden, happy days are over. It's just a matter of time before insanity takes over. It was nice knowing you Dhoni. Boys played well.

Ya, and pappu pager got engaged to his childhood freind shanno bai.
What is happening to PDF? what is this thread doing in India Defence section? Maybe after few days, the posters will start posting their own marriage invitations on India defence section too. :hang2:

Let them be engaged and get married. India's defence scenario will not change due to that.:hitwall::hitwall:

Congrats Dhoni,

Have fun but dont have an extended honeymoon coz WC 2011 is not too far away.

Then you know nothing about cricket. India always had a best of best players but they never reached at number 1 spot in Test cricket. India won World T20 and a lot of other major tournaments and many times they were runner ups. India always had powerful batting but never ranked so above or the winning ratio was never so high that is under his captaincy.

That tells you about captaincy skills

Dhoni-Sakshi to tie knot at Vasundhara Raje's farmhouse

The wedding ceremony of India's star cricketer and skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be solemnized Sunday night, with Sakshi Rawat at a private farmhouse belonging to former RajasthanChief Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia.

The farmhouse is barely 20 Km away from this capital city of the Himalayan state, on the Dehradun – Chakrata road.

Even as family members on both sides have gone underground and have completely shut their doors to the media, highly placed sources confirmed that the family 'pundit' had finalized 8.35 as the 'mahurat' for the wedding ceremony.

Prominent among the cricketers who have already arrived here were Harbhajan Singh, Ashish Nehra and R.P.Singh , while a few others were expected to join later in the evening.

While a couple of Bollywood celebrities were invited for the wedding, the only one to have landed in Dehra Dun so far was Jon Abraham - sans Bipasha Basu.

A tight security ring has been laid around the venue and the media has been stopped more than 1.5 km away from the place.

Besides a large number of private security personnel , stated to have been brought from Delhi, a large contingent of police has also been deployed to keep the "unwanted " at bay.

"Apparently, the wedding ceremony of the cricketer was kept under wraps because the families wanted it to be a totally private affair; and why not ? They have full right to their privacy", Uttarakhan director general of police Subhash Joshi told this scribe, while confessing, "most government officials including myself, are not invited."

Earlier on Saturday , a "hush-hush" engagement ceremony was performed at the Bhagirathi Resort, about 16 Km from Dehra Dun.

The bride's family have their roots in Dehra Dun, where her father returned after his retirement . Her grandfather , a retired divisional forest officer, was also permanently settled in Dehra Dun.

One of her cousins, Abhilasha Bisht was posted here as deputy inspector general of police until recently, when she moved out on a UN assignment
