A question asked from Nasir Hussain

Would you say South Africa are now England's biggest threat for the No. 1 spot?

They are, away from the subcontinent. If you had all of the Pakistan team available, and all fit, and none of the politics and none of the going around in circles with captains and all that, with their bowling attack, they would be a threat, but unfortunately that's not the case.

Speaks the truth.. it reflects on the whole nation on how our team is.
And their behavior and mentality shows how we are as a nation .

i agree - at best its a 'rag-tag'.
we need a capt/leader who can get the team to play for him.

Well after what santro said in the earlier post perhaps its some justification for letting Imran Khan lead our country?

I hope you are right and good luck to India. Im really surprised your team cant find a couple of penetrative young bowlers to back Zaheer Khan.

Back to Pakistan. Abundance of talent. Quality bowling side. We churn them out all day. Need to sort batting out but above all our cricket board and the back room staff. They change so frequently.
Pay the players what they deserve and stamp out any disorder immediately.

isn't this the case with india ?

No its not the case with India. Even if all the team was available for India there is a concern with the depth of bowling. They are at the moment a weak bowling side apart from Zaheer Khan. Batting they on paper stronger.
Pakistan are unpredictable and have different issues compared to India..

He is an ex captain of England and has played cricket at the top level. Well respected in the cricketing world. Just because he makes a comment you didn't appreciate doesn't make him a poor cricket pundit. He said some nasty things about English, Pakistani and Aussies too. Take it on the chin as i don't think its personal.

Yes!

Highly

NO NO NO

Extremely unpredictable!

well it has some truth to it.

Had Amir and Asif not done that S***, we would have had the most potent bowling attack of test cricket, and couple Gul, Afridi to that, T20 team would also have the best bowling attack.

Lets just hope that Ejaz butt goes early, and Afridi comes back, he led the team from the front.

Batting is a little concern, but it seems to be going a bit right.
