No-Confidence Motion against PTI's KPK Chief Minister Pervez Khattak

It's a move specifically made to secure KP assembly for various reasons no party otherwise can really make it to treasury benches. The biggest beneficiary of this move is PTI, they have a valid excuse that since there is a no-confidence motion in assembly so they really can't resign/dissolve KP assembly.

You missed the point here.. everyone knows they should have done so with the rest of the resignation ...
Also, no confidence move does not effect the right of PTI to resign ... if they have gutts they can do it now as well ..

Trust me when PTI and its supporters started to have valid excuses to justify something , then it shows the downward spiral of the party... Excesses cannot change the reality my friend...

We dont have time for this bull post, 1 hour left we all meet in Islamabad.

If push comes to the shove, PML-N will simply let JI rule the province, PML-N's vote bank is predominantly in Hazara belt which they have already covered by selecting the governor....There would be just too much to lose than gaining for PML-N by trying to participate in KPK government.

batmannow has been thread banned for trying to spoil the thread with his trolling and attempted personal attack. I will not allow this thread to become a troll thread.

I would like to ask all participants in discussion to maintain decorum.

The most seats that can be used for a coalition government are 59. Only one of the parties having few seats can be ignored, and not anyone else. If it comes to it, PML-N can allow others more cabinet slots and not have their own CM. But it can not be expected that they would leave one or two key ministries. For their co-operation, JI could be given CM seat.

But the thing is that such a coalition is likely to be fractious, unwieldy, and lack quality of governance. This would be a loss for people of KPK.

But that would be an exercise in futile...If PTI were somehow able to break KPK assembly, then the whole parliamentary system would have suffered a critical blow because one unit of the system would have ceased to exist. Have you forgotten the brilliant move by PPP to boycott Mamnoon Hussain and how PML-N had to reach out to MQM to secure participation of Sindh assembly in voting for Mamnoon despite they not needing it technically? Plus with the submission of Vote of No confidence, The speaker can not technically break the assembly unless the motion is decided. Which would at least delay any decision to resign by PTI for a month or so....

Thought-provoking point, I agree. This coalition would be lacking mandate in KPK and this might result in revolts and unrest in KPK.

Latest rumor is that Siraj-ul-Haq is reluctant at proceeding with no-confidence movement against PTI in KPK.

PTI is currently second largest opposition party in Pakistan, ousting it fully from political scene can have significant repercussions for the existing political climate.

Well we might see a FWD BLOCK in PTI, there are reports of around 10-15 PTI members not willing to resign... well it does not matter now as no confidence motion is moved... KPK CM was not willing to dissolve the assembly, i am also of the view that PTI top brass was expecting no confidence motion,

Shah Mahmood Qureshi have pointed out that all PTI politicians are willing to resign and he have possession of their resignation letters. Imran Khan have also verified this.

Very right. Khattak has more grey matter than IK. Here is a hedge that PML-N would not mess with PTI if this crisis in resolved. Just shows what rank and file experienced PTI politicos are thinking. IK will have to pull back.

Dissolution of government will not be a big deal. It is not inevitable, but not unexpected either. It happens, another government is formed, and people move on. The worst that can happen is that eventually KPK assembly would be dissolved. New elections can take place - hardly a doomsday scenario.

From what? Their only chance to get some performance on their CV? Who would vote a party knowing the same party would break the assembly after a year or so?...

From embarrassment . Its cabinet have idiots who dont know politics.

Any cabinet elected from within an assembly has the mandate of people.

If PTI looses its grip, then no one else is to be blamed. It is the end-result of hangama politics.

Lets see 'em then.

Brother, gone are the days when politicians could expect full obedience from the masses after doing whatever they want to do. Reluctance of Siraj-ul-Haq is an eye-opener.

Ouster of PTI from entire political arena of Pakistan will bring this nation or system to a stand-still. Those in power, fully understand this. This is a brilliant deadlock.

Let us adopt "wait-and-see" approach. One thing is that, I trust Imran Khan more then any other politician in this country, people should take note of his revelations, he have seen it all.

We all know that Resignations are of no value unless presented to Speaker NA
