Can members please post links or provide up to date information regarding the current number of artillery in both armies? Especially interested in 150mm + guns, towed, tracked, etc!

Please do NOT post Wikipedia as a source and please do NOT post articles which claim, planning to, in the future we will have, etc. Please only post what artillery is available in your current inventory.

Thanks, Shukriya.

Pakistan Army's Self Propelled Artillery Inventory

M110 203 mm - 60
M109A2 155mm - 250
M109A4 155 mm - 300
M109A5 155mm - 115
Norinco SH1 155 mm - 90+

This brings total to 815 .. According to defence.pk , Pak Army has around 800 SP artillery pieces which verifies my claim

Pakistan Army's Towed howitzer Inventory

M115 howitzer 203 mm - 28
MKEK Panter 155 mm - 57 ( Locally produced at HIT Heavy Mechanical Complex)
M198 howitzer 155 mm - 148
M114 155 mm - 144
M59 155 mm - 30

Additionally Pakistan has several other towed howitzers like Type 60, Type 54 , Type 59I, M101,M56 etc having caliber between 85 mm to 130 mm...

According to defence.pk, Pak army has around 1700 towed howitzers while other sources put the number around 3200..

M109 figures I believe are not correct. We have around 265 M109A5 in service. 150 are M109A2 upgraded to A5 standards and 115 M109A5 were supplied by USA.

If I am wrong someone can correct me.

We lag in arty compared to Pakistan. There are no two ways around this fact.
I am afraid you might not be right in this statement. I was also under the impression that Pakistan is not comparable to the Indian mighty forces. But I got to know a lot of things by reading the Autobiography of Ex. Prez. Gen. Pervez Musharraf. Their PMA, their Strategy classes, etc. and all.

In one of the para Gen. Musharraf categorically admitted that Pakistan was petrified when India concentrated all of its artillery near the border. This was around Kargil Conflict.

When it comes to Airforce, I think we might be quite behind the Pakistani Air Force. Just a guess.

How much will this change when MH 777 is introduced and field testing of newly two guns will be carried out this year. These two guns totalling about 300 will change something.

Nope mate I dont think M777 will be used on Pakistani border...It is meant for Chinese border.. @Abingdonboy, @KRAIT, @sancho & @arp2041 kindly correct me if wrong & your inputs will be welcome...

VERY.......

The guns you are mentioning are not yet in inventory. These shall change something when you have them. At present these mean nothing.

So do not bring future acquisitions, possible orders or planned orders in comparison threads.

sorry guys have a questions whats the technical difference between

Self Propelled Artillery Inventory and Towed howitzer Inventory ?
