Maybe it has to do with overall economic strengths and weaknesses? China has exports the size of the whole EU combined.. 7Trillion economy and growing, 1.4 Billion people.. cheap labour.. etc.

I don't consider weblogs as reputable. How much does it cost to register a domain? 10$. If they really want to do it professionally, they should act like a professional.
Moreover, If France ranks above Russia militarily, then I wouldn't mind if Iran ranks lower than the Maldives militarily. C'mon, give me a break, France doesn't even deserve to be in TOP5, and it's very debatable if they deserve to be in TOP10, but even if you ask a random child whose only military knowledge is limited to video games, they all will tell you that France is nothing in comparison to Russia militarily. The whole numbers are laughable if you ask me.
