Russia showcases ‘Hunter’ heavyweight combat drone on its maiden flight

Prototype powered by Su-35's engine. Production version may have Su-57's engine which is more powerful. EOTS should be the same as Su-34's Platan EOTS.

Self driving car is impossible. Digital computer is not flexible like brain. Government will never approve self driving car. Digital computer cannot handle unexpected situation.

I work in AI I know this stuff more than you do.
Ever heard AI (ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE) and US government don't want your permission to allow or not allow these cars for USA public transport and stick on the topic you already prove wrong in various science facts @Austin Powers

Digital computer cannot handle unexpected situation that's why if there's a hole in the ground it falls down it.

Yes they are called pilots. I quote.

In the United States alone there are over a 100,000 certified commercial drone pilots – and as more enterprises and organizations continue to adopt drone technology, the need for skilled drone operators will continue to rise, increasing the demand for professional, certified drone pilots more than ever before.

Heavy shock UAV NIR "Okhotnik-B" S-70

Heavy shock unmanned aerial vehicle. The theme of the Okhotnik research project to study the possibility of creating an attack UAV weighing up to 20 tons in the interests of the Russian Air Force was carried out by the Sukhoi company (Sukhoi Design Bureau OJSC). For the first time, the Ministry of Defense’s plans to use an attack UAV of this class were announced at the MAKS-2009 air show in August 2009.According to a statement by Mikhail Pogosyan in August 2009, designing a new strike unmanned complex was to be the first joint work of the corresponding units of the Sukhoi and MiG Design Bureau ( project " Scat"). The media reported on the conclusion of a contract for the implementation of the Okhotnik research project with the Sukhoi company on July 12, 2011. In August 2011, the merger of the relevant units of the RSK MiG and Sukhoi to develop a promising strike UAV was confirmed in the media, but an official agreement between MiG and Sukhoi was signed only on October 25, 2012.

The technical task for the strike UAV was approved by the Russian Ministry of Defense in early April 2012. On July 6, 2012, the media reported that the Sukhoi company was selected by the Russian Air Force as the lead developer. An unnamed source in the industry reports that the Sukhoi strike UAV will be the sixth generation fighter at the same time. As of mid-2012, it is expected that the first model of an impact UAV will begin testing no earlier than 2016. It is expected to enter service by 2020. In 2012, a selection of patent materials on the subject “Hunter-B” was conducted at VNIIRA, and in the future, it was planned to create navigation systems for approaching and taxiing heavy UAVs on the instructions of Sukhoi OJSC ( source ).

October 3, 2013that the first sample of a heavy shock UAV of the Sukhoi Design Bureau will be ready in 2018.On May 30, 2014, Oleg Bochkarev, Deputy Chairman of the military-industrial complex under the Government of Russia, confirmed that the first UAV flight is expected in 2018. In 2014, the first model of the device was created ( source ).

In 2017, it was reported that the UAV demonstrator was manufactured at the Novosibirsk NAPO named after Chkalov and in 2018 will make its first flight. On June 28, 2018, the media reported the first rollout of the S-70 UAV at the Chkalov NAPO in Novosibirsk and the beginning of the final stage of UAV ground tests. At the same time, it is reported that the first flight of the S-70 will take place in 2019. Later it is reported that in November 2018, the UAV began running on the NAPO runway with acceleration to a speed of 200 km / h.

Probably the model of the UAV S-70 R&D "Okhotnik-B" (poster of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, 2017)

Design - UAV is made according to the flying wing aerodynamic design with optimization of the shape of the airframe to minimize radar visibility.Presumably, the device will be implemented in a modular manner, which will allow changing the payload depending on the type of combat mission ( source - A. Sukhorukov ... ).

Vehicle performance characteristics :
Weight - up to 20,000 kg

Airspeed - approx. 1,000 km / h (forecast)

Cost :
- judging by the information from the media, the budget of the Okhotnik research work was 1.6 billion rubles.

Status : Russia

- April 2, 2012 - the media reported that the main design bureaus received the technical specifications of the Russian Ministry of Defense for the creation of a strike UAV of a modular design.

- 2012 - OJSC EMZ named after Myasishchev in 2012 it was planned to create a flying laboratory for testing the on-board control complex of the prospective UAS Altius, Amohodets, Okhotnik-B on the basis of the M-17RM aircraft as part of the Federal Defense Development Program -industrial complex of the Russian Federation for 2007-2010 and for the period until 2020 "( source ).

- July 6, 2012 - information appeared in the media that the Sukhoi company was selected by the Russian Air Force as the lead developer.

- 2012 December 19 - at a press conference, the head of the UAC, Mikhail Poghosyan, said that the Sukhoi company won the Ministry of Defense competition for the creation of a multifunctional unmanned complex.

Su-70 is remote piloted. Pilot is on the ground wearing T shirt and shorts. That's why Su-70 is combat jet.
There no Su-70 but S-70, And all of UCAV operated by pilots, no country called UCAV a combat jet, not your beloved Russians are calling these drone a combat jet, only you're in the whole world calling these drones a combat jets @Austin Powers :crazy::crazy:

@Austin Powers you are the most hilarious member I have ever come across on here.
All your threads and comments crack me up, especially the way you make your remarks. Most people can't even seem to tell if you are trolling or being serious(hence they end up arguing with you or trying to counter your claims  ). It's difficult for members here to tell fiction from reality while reading your posts.
You are the best

It is jet plane and it does combat so it is called combat jet. All future combat jets don't have pilots sitting in them. Su-57 is last plane Sukhoi makes which has a pilot sitting in it.

Not to create your own term you're nobody military don't call drones for combat aircraft, and you're in the Russian Air Force to decide what's better for Russian Air Force its optionals for 6th generation jet most of 6th generation jets will have optional @Austin Powers

These planes are all manned. Only difference is with drones the pilot is on the ground wearing shirt and shorts instead of g suit and helmet and can walk around and go to the washroom. That's why every combat plane Sukhoi makes after Su-57 is a drone.
