Russia will mass produce fifth generation PAKFA T-50 fighters from 2015, Air Forces Commander Maj. Gen. Victor Bondarev said Monday, August 6, 2012. He said the PAKFA T-50, which is intended to succeed the MiG-29 and Su-27 fighters for the next 30 years, will be produced in volume after 2015.

The PAKFA T-50 is the latest generation of Russian fighter aircraft

The SU-35, the cutting-edge jet fighter of the four-plus-plus generation, will go in mass production from as early as 2013, Bondarev added.

The PAKFA T-50, built by the major Russian aircraft manufacturer Sukhoi, conducted its maiden flight in January 2010. The fighter combines the capabilities of a frontline bomber with an interceptor and employs stealth technology that makes the plane nearly invisible to enemy early warning systems.

The SU-35 fighter makes up about half of Russian arms exports. Russia sells the planes to more than 30 countries.

India is now in the final stage for developing its version of the PAK FA, the FGFA. Finally, we will be getting one of the most potent jets in design.....

Good going India............

This a Very Good Development. Now would like to Hear When will the CHALLENGING Sunny Jim`s Start their Production!!!

Are you pissing in your pants or trolling ?
No he is right, there is a big "after".. Which makes it unclear about its production rate..
By the way, we have no other option than t-50 programme as it will help us understanding the stealth tech..
In order to develop AMCA, Indian scientists will have to understand all the aspect of t-50 and will have to apply their mind on amca..

India is getting few Pak FAs before FGFA will come..right???

Yes, its right.. But we don't know when will they deliver first pakfa ??
And most important that pakfa should be a complete model, no problems with design and FBW errors should be present..So that our naive scientist can try to modify it..

SU 35 is being sold to 30 countries ?...its a mistake right ??

most probably we will get Pakfa from 2017-2019 time line.... I doubt the facilities in HAL.... pak-fa, Rafael, LCA.

You should not worry about the facility of HAL with LCA and FGFA production as most of parts will be built in India.. The only problem will be with Rafale as that programme will have go from TOT..which will result in delays and for 1-2 years HAL won't be able to produce more than 6-8 aircraft/year after that they can fully utilize facility with may be 15-18/year..

After 2015? 2025 is after 2015.

I see some Indians still haven't learnt from their past dealings with the Russians。
