Definitely not, and that number is diminishing as days go by.


There are just 6 million Russians left on the Siberian side of the border with China. Ninety million Chinese, backed by a voracious economy, live on the other side. China's influence in Russia's far east is growing rapidly and Siberia has become the raw material supplier to Beijing's economic miracle.

I think you are confused. Most people in the Chinese northeast originated from Shandong and Hebei after the Qing dynasty permitted Han settlement. The true Manchus were always small in number and most of the menfolk, being a warrior class, were killed defending the Qing dynasty in its last days. By the Republican era, Han Chinese were the dominant ethnicity in the northeast. E.g. Yuan Shikai, Zhang Zuolin and Zhang Xueliang. By the time Japanese-occupied Manchukuo was destroyed and occupied by CCP, there was no longer a separate Manchu ethnic identification. It was from its base in the northeast that CCP routed the KMT in the civil war in 1946 and steadily pushed South and drove KMT to Taiwan.

You are correct about this. Even from our naval base in Myanmar, PLAN cannot go toe-to-toe against US Navy in the blue waters. They have 11 carrier battle groups, we have just 1 carrier entering service.

That said, USA cannot possible interdict all commercial shipping heading to the Eastern hemisphere in an effort to strangle China. That's why once China bypasses the Malacca Straits and the island chains in the Western Pacific, it is time for USA and China to negotiate spheres of influence. Containment is proven futile.
