Well we are the closest allies but In Freedom of speech and rights there is a hell difference between the two brothers.
This attitude of censorship is always discouraged in Pakistan.
Why should you stop a journalist from reporting. Chinese should open up now. It is 21st century for god sake.
Freedom is strength not weakness

You think Pakistan would be comfortable if China brought India to view the plane. Also joint ventures are joint ventures, how would Russia feel if USA came to look at FGFA or any plane which India is in a joint venture with. Forget the states, any Nato ally stop trolling for once and use your brain
the Americans were really peed off with Turkey for its possible purchase of Q9 air defence systems from China and said that if Turkey bought those Chinese systems then they must be kept off the NATO grid . period , no arguments.
Turkey is NATO partner but that doesnt mean it can do what it wants in case its allies have issues.

Taiwan reporter blocked from taking close look at JF-17 even though Pakistan official agreed
A small commotion broke out at static display area of the JF-17 at Paris Airshow when Chinese officials refused to allow a Taiwanese TV crew to view the fighter close up even though they were escorted by a Pakistan Air Force officer.

Well, we don't know if Taiwan media has some sort of negatives on China, for example- wantchinatimes.com is actually Taiwan but some uneducated Pakistani don't have any clues because we thought good sources to post some news here.

Thank you China!

:china:

Pakistan should export JF-17 to Taiwan.\

F-CK is pretty weak.

Shocking!
I don't know much about the current relationship between China and Taiwan. But this is completely unnecessary and rude. Pakistan Air Force official looked completely surprised by what just happened. There was no need for pushing PAF official on one side by the Chinese officials.

One should always keep in mind that these are actual combat Pilots that are marketing JF-17 Thunder not some employees of the company. JF-17 Thunder sales has a lot to do with PAF relationship with other countries.

Would our Taiwanese brothers and sisters allow a Mainland TV crew to view whatever they have close up?

IMHO it is pretty disrespectful to the PAF officer. Considering Pakistan is co-developer and launch customer (i.e. air force money spent). Nice going.

As I explained it was a casual visit from a country's state tv rep who has had a history and a potential for future armed conflict with China. Yes it was a bit embarrassing for the PAF officer but Chinese sensitivities were also understandable. Therefore, you can see that although the officer did seem a bit embarrassed, he understood situation and agreed to respect our partner's sensitivity and it not go on an ego trip.

do you think this Taiwan reporter was trying to steal secrets up close of the JF-17??
I don't see why these rebels just don't fold back into the mainland, they'll be able to see JF-17,J-20,J-31 and other high tech Chinese military weapons

Hi,

It was extremely disrespectful of the Chinese personal as he acted towards the Pakistani officer. It was extremely rude---totally unprofessional and un-called for.

Chinese need to develop better manners when they are on the world forum-----in front of the world and video camers---. It was stupid on the part of the Chinese guy the way he acted.

The PAF officer handled it professionally. That is not where I see an issue. They stand organizers should have had a discussion about it before hand, what to do in such cases, how to prevent embarrassing situations.

Interesting conversation and the video clearly shows the hierarchy. Is the dude in the closing frames a CBC because that the first time I have seen a mainlander being so polite while saying sorry.

The camera equipment can carry several electronic gadgets which can take a reading of the planes insides, that's why US did not let many of its planes take part in an Air Show in China, i think it's called Zuhai or something.

I don't think Pakistani officials would have been happy if an Indian camera crew was allowed to get close to the plane.

That I agree with.
