The Stealth In India's Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft

Its ok to model something. But when US created its first stealth plane, it was a secret. The reliance on the stealth technology was so secretive until the mid-80s. By that time, the US has a big lead over others in stealth technology.

Your Argument is false....

US kept stealth technology secret since they were the first ones attempting it -- They had a huge cold war rivalry going on -- Russians had moles and were known to have access to state matters.

India on the other hand is attempting something that has been attempted , proven and will be of no surprise to world over. Unlike china (where everything is state secret) -- You only need a state secret if it is true game changer in the TIME LINE it would be produced. Just line submarine INS Arihant - India managed to keep a secret for more than a decade because it is a game changer if you consider todays time. MCA on other hand will hardly be a game changer - PAK FA will already be there , MCA will complement it.

As to why this was shown -- its a free society --India is trying to rope in private players , show them value in defence deals..What better to do it than publicize what you will do next and let the business houses put in their imagination to produce some proposals.

I would suggest that India should not make a fuss over a new plane until its about to fly, such as PAKFA. Why show off a model? Just to bring laughters?

Laugh at your own risk!!...India is progressing ...It had a learning curve for LCA which will get reduced when it takes up MCA.....You know what they say " Fools laugh at others. Wisdom Laughs at itself".

Again... clearly, you do not understand geo-politics. There is nothing that is serious enough to make Russia and US fall apart. China and US are on a collision course and that is a natural course for a place of leadership but that is also a big if as the economic bear hug between China and US will be a self assured mutual destruction.

:cheers:

Russia and US is already apart. Do you expect US to trust Russia as an ally. You are the one who does not understand geopolitics. There is an economic bear hug betwee China and the US. So there won't be any major war between these three countries. However, there are still strategic competition between China/Russia on one side and US lead western alliance on another camp. That is why for the US, the relationship with Russia/China are still the most important relationships. Especially with China because of the economic factor.

What the hell is an non-align movement? If India is a democracy, it should side with the west. If it wants communist dictatorship and authoritarian rule, then side with Russia/China. Do not be lukewarm.

Russia still communists???:what::what:

AMCA is just a concept right now, as I understand. What I posted earlier is that India should focus on technology instead of developing airplanes. But even before that, it should focus on building up the infrastructure of India.

I would suggest that India join the US camp and allow US to protect India. :usflag:

what??? how??? :woot::woot:

I totally agree with you about innovation. But judging by how long it take for India to come up with LCA and arjun and these being failed projects, you can only expect so much out of India innovation. But things wouldn't have to stay this way. India can always improve its basic education, infrasture and research ability and common sense weapons development instead of shooting for the moon. For example, why is India building a nuclear sub when it never built a conventional sub in the near past? It should build conventional subs first and then nuclear subs. Its call walking before flying.

Neighbours are more concerned about basic education, Infrastructure and research ability of India as compare to a common Indian.., right sir??? Tell you what , as far as infra is concerned , it is developing in a faster pace , education sysytem is getting better day by day and as far as research capabilities are concerned, apart from R.E., we are advancing at a better rate..Btw you are talking abt Lca and arjun, none of both are failed.. "Its just a matter of time",other wise Lca would have been flying in full strength for last 4-5 years.. Arjun has paved the way for futuristic developments,,and by making Arihant, India have proved its capabilities.. So "We donot want the lessons on walking":cool:

good quote, I hope more of your countryman understand that quote because they certainly need it.

No we dont need it. We already know it. :D

and please stop laughing at us. :D:D

Oh my gosh, you are so India centric. If Russia and China join hands, its against the west and the US. India is not the focus of that strategic alliance. You really need to realize that the geopolitical world today is composed of US against Russia/China and everything else is secondary.

You Just Proved You Know Nothing about Your Own Country Perspectives.. Leave India and Russia....

ISRAEL ::

Israel and China began extensive military cooperation as early as the 1980s, even though no formal diplomatic relations existed.[6][7][8][9] Some estimate that Israel sold arms worth USD 4 billion to China in this period.[6][8] China has looked to Israel for the arms and technology it wants but cannot acquire from both the United States and Russia. Israel has now become China's second-largest supplier of arms (following Russia).[6]

China has purchased a wide array of military equipment and technology, including communications satellites.[6] The building of military cooperation and trade has softened China's historic anti-Israeli policy over Palestine and Middle East issues.[6] China has become a vital market for Israel's extensive military industries and arms manufacturers.[6] Israel has also limited its cooperation with the Republic of China (Taiwan) in order to foster closer ties with the People's Republic of China.[6] The Commander of the Israeli Navy, Eli Marom is of Chinese origin through his father.

US : Can u dare to Go Against West and Particularily US when....

In 2009 (most recent annual statistics), the U.S. trade deficit with China was $227 billion. This was down slightly from the record of $268 billion set in 2008, the largest in the world between any two countries. The deficit means that the U.S. exported $69.6 billion in goods and services to China (about the same as 2008), while it imported over $296 billion 9down significantly from 2008). (Source: U.S. Census, Foreign Trade Statistics)

$300 Billion Trade... Do u Know That Money is Above All... ???

If LCA is such a success, why won't India spend 10+ billion dollar purchasing this plane. Why is the bulk of Indian tanks T-90? We know that India is a developing country and it cannot make something as good as the west or even Russia. And the Indian economy is growing. Also, what is RE?

As for Arihant, two questions, is it a test platform?And more importantly, is the reactor in yet?:smokin:

Who said we are not purchasing both.

Do stay in the forum , you will hear the induction news no so longer soon.

Certainly ....they have been very patient considering the very fact that People on this very forum (which includes senior members) were laughing at our weapon systems like Akash, NAG, PAD , ADD , Arjun , etc..but NOW they choose to simply stay away from threads whenever a news is published about these systems..... A remarkable departure from the set ways ...tells you more than anything else.....

good development as i think enngine (kaveri) should be ready by 2014 the oly hurlde i see is design and armaments, avionics considering the fifth gen tech

hence this aircraft is quite possible by 2025(deployed atleast 25)

Indian super computer is a success and that does not mean we should spend 10+ billion on it. We will invest what is required and based on demand.

Arihant : India has build one of the most compact nuclear reactors to fit into Arihant. It is doing its job and that should answer your doubts.

The US/China economic ties actually benefits US. US get a bunch of manufacturing goods, China get some paper. US get more money to develop technology. China get some paper. US will have to pay China some money, so we better get our money printing machines in good shape.:cool::rofl::rofl:

avionics is the part i am really worried of

considering the advance tech needed to make it close to fifth generation we need some cool gadgets(avionics),radars(offcourse AESA)
