A set of old images of Chinese soldiers escorting coffins with the remains of Chinese soldiers killed in the Korean War (1950-1953), has resurfaced and is being falsely linked to the India-China clash that took place at the Galwan Valley, Eastern Ladakh on June 15-16, 2020

The images, which show parts of the burial ceremony of the Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) soldiers from the Korean War, are being shared as proof of the number of lives lost in the Chinese side during the Galwan clash.

The Indian Army confirmed that 20 of the soldiers, including a commanding officer of the Bihar regiment were killed after Indian and Chinese troops clashed in an escalation of major border tensions across the Line of Actual Control (LAC). China however has not disclosed any official figures of lives lost of the Chinese troops leaving room for speculation on social media.

The post also features a screenshot of an already debunked list claiming to show 56 People's Liberation Army (PLA) casualties. BOOM fact-checked the list earlier and found that the names listed are of former PLA Generals. The viral list was created by copying names of former Chines generals available on Wikipedia.

Now you probably realize what kind of a low life, pathetic, coward and slimy enemy we have been dealing with since literally 1947...

This is a nation steeped in mendacity. They spread a lie and start believing in it.

The hindu republic epitomizes the phenomenon of Pathological lying.

Makes sense where the cow fikers get 100+ casualties from now. They have been counting casualties from Korean War, ww2, opium war as Indian inflicted.

Salaam

To be honest, this sort of propaganda makes sense given the situation in India. Propaganda is done by most if not all parties. Use of propaganda doesn't seem pathetic as such to me.

The objectives of the Indian government is to somehow pacify the public anger without having to do something that could cost India (and costing bjp party) greatly.

The BJP needs votes to stay in power, their primary focus has been on religious nationalism. The claims have been about restoring some long lost glory. The usual populist rhetoric.

Their move on Kashmir and all the jingoistic talk are meant to garner support from their voters. This whole conflict with China was not properly anticipated by them and now they are finding themselves in a tough spot.

Are they supposed to accept their mistake and lose face and appear weak Infront of their voters? Obviously no. So they can either actually make real aggressive moves against China (which could backfire spectacularly) or they could use propaganda to make it seem like they are doing it without the associated risks.

So I think this propaganda campaign by the BJP to convince their nationalistic voters is a more prudent move than the alternatives of accepting defeat or hitting back hard.

That being said, I think the Indians are doing themselves a grave injustice by appearing so confused. The only reason Pakistan took the risk of retaliation in February last year was to not appear weak. Otherwise, we know the enemy will not stop at one transgression.

If the Indians fail to show resolve, they will find themselves surrounded and attacked within their own territory.

They are stuck between a rock and a hard place. Let's see how things play out.

Funny, how they need to lie to keep up with the previous lies and this goes on and on.
I wonder, if they can comprehend the word *Shame*, apparently they cannot. Hence shameless.
There is a difference between telling lies and honoring your dead!!
