US provided USD 1.1 billion to Pakistan in 2011: White House

but when you have bought the leaders and they are in your pay roll then they shouldnt be calling it aid to Pakistan. They should be calling it "funds to keep leaders bought by our policies".

Whose leaders are those?? Who has elected them? Surely not USA

They may have been elected by Pakistan - but have sold their country for the power of the greenback.
USA are fully aware where the funds go - but who cares? The USA get what they want and the leaders get their pension funds swollen to the max.

Khan saab,

1. its the figure of 2011 only

2. Military aid is also there

3. Then there are incentives

4. Loans, Favorable terms for loans

5. Postponement of loan installments

6. Preference to pak exports like mango, Basmati etc.

7. And because of USA others like EU, Turkey, KSA etc. also gives donations and aid etc.

The list goes on and on.

#4, 5, 6 and 7 are not specific to Pakistan and all did not happen during this year either.

Secondly, the issue is that if 1.1B has been allocated (what has been disbursed is a different question altogether), then also think about what they got in return. What Pakistan had to forgo and continues to forgo in FDI due to the ongoing GWOT, what Pakistan has to spend on keeping its forces deployed and conducting operations etc. etc. I can assure you that Pakistan is in the hole which is a lot deeper than what the allocated $1.1B would fill.

i asure you no one will die in hunger nor damn pakistanis living on US aid this land is rich and great .only matter is how to use it . USA is new story can you remember since 5000 years this land was rich by US AID? great ashoka time ? chandergupta time? maharaja ranjeet singh time? its only matter of bloody idiots those who love there chair and looting thats it .

I undertsand your frustration but the 1 billion in question is aid. Official statistics estimate close to 40% of our exports go to US and EU. So to say we will be okay without preferential economic conditions would be wrong and counter productive. Our economy and people depend on it we should be very careful in not going over board emotionally; logical diplomatic response should suffice until we find alternatives for our exports and economic growth.

just 1.1 billion dollars our zardari n company have earned more then this from last 4 years :D :D

Its the time for China now

China does not believe in the principle of giving free aid, everyone knows that. China is still a developing country, we can't justify giving free aid to other countries when our own people need it.

What we can do however, is provide lots of investment. And that is exactly what the Pakistani people want, rather than US aid which only goes into Zardari's pockets.

None of the proposed $35bn have been invested as of now. The deal was signed exactly an year ago.

Where is the proof to back up your statement?

A deal is a deal, and it has been signed already. When China makes a deal, they always carry it through.

With due respect, it's not like you're buying fish in a fish market for immediate consumption. The 35 bln USD would be invested over several years and it goes through a process for it to materialize such as feasibility studies, negotiations, contracts and etc.

As you may know China has already invested several billions in the past (Gwadar and etc) and I have no doubt it will continue to do so.

1.1 billion for the entire year? is this a joke? Pakistan has lost billions of dollars of investment due to this war of terror. Last figure I came across stood at 70 billion dollars. Pakistan could have earned many folds this 1.1 B had it taxed the nato containers properly.

This 1.1 billion means around 40 percent of it stayed in the US when it was channaled through one diplomatic dept to another before reaching Pakistani hands. Alone remittance from Pakitani's abroad stands at an average 1.2 billion dollars a month

This chunks of peanuts highlighted every now and then for politcal purposes is better served for the US economy. And look at the jokers from across the border getting a boner.....

Pakistan has also lost 70 billion dollars because of America's war OF terror.

And Pakistan doesn't need to ask any country for aid. Pak Sarzameen has all that is needed for Pakistan to be a wealthy country, but Pakistan lacks good leadership at the moment.

By the way, why do only indians want Pakistan to bow down to Uncle Sam

This is what Pakistan really needs. Business and investments. NOT carrot-on-a-stick aid.
