Why China’s Political Model Is Superior

I did not understand your feeling here. How do you feel about having two right wing parties? I look at US and feel that one right wing party is pita enough, I look at India and I slap myself trying to facepalm.

Oops, my bad. I meant that the US is stuck with two right wing parties. The Republicans would be what we call Neonazis (albeit without the overt racism) in Germany and the Democrats are somewhat between the right wing CDU (Christian Democratic Union) and her sister party the CSU (Christian Social Party) which is situated between Neonazis and CDU.

In Germany at least we have the Liberal Party (more like Neocons), Social-Democratic Party, the Greens and the Left Party (socialist). You see, we have a wide spectrum to chose from.

What I know is that KMT focus on Taiwan's interests, such as selling agricultural products to Mainland. What the CCP stresses is their interests not the China's. They dont care whether the agricultural products in Hainan can be sold out or not, what they care is to lick the ***** of taiwanese to keep status quo of taiwan strait so that their profits can be maintained.

Japan sinks Taiwanese ships at will.

FORUMOSA • Japan Coast Guard Sinks Taiwanese Fishing Vessel

AFP: Taiwan, China upset as boat collides with Japanese

But the skipper of the Taiwanese boat contended that the patrol boat rammed them.

The incident occurred near islands in the East China Sea known as the Senkaku in Japanese and the Diaoyu in Chinese. Japan administers the chain, which is claimed by Taipei and Beijing and lies near rich energy deposits.

There's nothing Taiwan can do about it. That's because they take their orders straight from Tokyo and DC. They can never go against Tokyo or DC. I didn't say this, Chen Shuibian said this.

The KMT still keeps political commissars in the ROC armed forces to prevent defection to the communists. The KMT still doesn't allow RMB on Taiwan. Why? If they're so confident of their ideological superiority, why would they be scared of people fleeing the military and fleeing the NTD?

You haven't answered my question. If the KMT is so confident in their superiority, why do they not let the people decide what money to use? Why limit RMB?

If they're so confident in their abilities, why don't they take out the "traitor" Lin Yifu, World Bank Economist? He swam from Taiwan to China, that says something and not just about his physical strength  he was an active duty soldier who swam to the "enemy" so he should be sentenced to death by law. What's stopping them?

The fact is, there's nothing they can do about it. They'd love to try him for treason but there's nothing they can do about it. They can't stop us. We do whatever we want and no one can stop us.

Goodness, the Magna Charta was anything but a document to outline the role of government and citizenry as at that time the concept of citizenry was at least half a millenia away. The Magna Charta was a power struggle amongst the aristocracy. It was not until 500 years later that the Magna Charta was also extended to the commoners.
It is besides the point, which is that the Magna Carta was a document that intends to force the king into some kind of concession that the monarchy is not above the laws.

For an American those names are without exception foreign. For me at least the German philosophers are part of my cultural heritage. But I know that Americans are always impressed of the cultural richness and savoir faire of us Europeans.
 Typical Euro-snob. Do not construe the attitude of the few admirers on the coasts to be normative of middle America.

But I will say this from an immigrant's perspective, which is what I am, that while the average American is impressed by the history of other and older cultures, from Asia to Europe, it is from the respect for achievements that made America the exceptional country that your fellow Europeans, such as the famous de Tocqueville, noticed. By that I mean the Americans as a whole, are more impressed by achievements instead of envy or jealous of the same.

If you are a scientific genius who invented and discovered society changing things left and right, but who lives in near poverty because you give most of your money to the Widows' And Orphans' Fund, the FIRST thing the American will be impressed will be from those scientific accomplishments, THEN come your altruism and noble humaneness. If you have intelligence and higher education, impress the Americans by showing US if you have job that commensurate with that higher education, not by how many books you read in college or how many languages you speak. A job produces tangible things, boasts do not. Likewise with a nation and the civilization it produced, if any.

So be proud of your heritage, just do not expect to throw fancy words around and expect US to be 'impressed'. On an anonymous Internet forum, your posts are your accomplishments.

TBH as an Indian, I never really worshipped democracy like the way most secular-pacifists in my country do; and they do it because their otherwise-meaningless ideology would hold no ground in a real nationalist rule and they would get no attention from a powerful and righteous government.

Though Communism is certainly not an ideal political scenario, a new set of faces who have right-nationalist leanings in our country who can:

- build world class roads
- boost infrastructure
- boost manufacturing
- boost production
- boost military

Would suffice. I mean if all the benefits are being given to citizens, then why would I even want to raise my voice?

And with South Asian Democracy (which is thievery), I would prefer a committee of Narendra Modi like patriots representing all 28 states to rule the country and deliver development, progress, power and justice to people.

So? But it has nothing to do with democracy as the commoners were not included in the Charta. It was, as I said, a power struggle amongst the aristocracy and a step away from absolutism that were practiced in almost all other monarchies till late 19th centuries. It was not until 1918 that women older than 30 years and men older than 21 were granted suffrage.

What about your claim that the Magna Charta had nothing to do with moral and ethic?

What are your accomplishments given that you brag about your adopted country 24/7? You Americans are impressed by nothing but money and long time nothing and then money, money, money and plastic boobs. Did I mention money? OK, the exception proves the rule.

I have to agree with this sentiment, the US unfortunately is a much worse democracy than Germany. The political parties in the US are in bed with corporations. Middle class real wages went down or remained stagnant since the Reagan revolution. Jobs are being shipped out overseas, whereas Germany was able to keep a high tech manufacturing base. Now the occupy movement is the only hope to get power back to the 99% from the 1%, lets see how this goes in the next few years. The real threat for the US is internal from its 1% corrupt oligarch and political class that concentrates on making more MONEY, at the expense of people's basic human rights, such as clean air, water and food supply (GMO-free), and not to mention the faulty foreign policy we pursued and keep pursuing. Supporting the Arab Spring, I think is finally a welcome change and will bring good things for the world.

Your ignorance and hatred prevents you from having a balanced opinion, or you are simply conducting yourself in a poor manner.

No serious person can deny the accomplishments of the United States, they are self-evident from a cursory glance at history without a wall of willful ignorance and hate.

These accomplishments span multiple fields, from moral to scientific to agricultural and political, and their diffusion has without a doubt brought mankind to an era of unprecedented prosperity.

As for today, the United States is still currently pushing the bounds of human knowledge in space, medicine, defense, entertainment, robotics, and materials.

Te US is first of all pushing the bounds of knowledge to plunder others' resources, medicine only for the rich, defence to threaten anyone who doesn't toe your line, entertainment to brainwash the masses and spread your propaganda, robotics to build more war machines, robotics dito and materials dito.

FYI, I have lived in the US for over one year, I know how you guys tick.

For all your boasts of edukashun and knowledge of foreign names you still do not understand even the basics. If the king is finally subjected to the laws he once can bypass at whims, democracy made progress. No one ever said that progress is instantaneous, else it would not be progress, would it? Progress is measured by fits and starts.

It is only in the extreme that you can construe what I said to be completely devoid of moral and ethics.

Magna Carta - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The charter was an important part of the extensive historical process that led to the rule of constitutional law in the English speaking world,...
A 'constitution' is a document of general principles that all SUBSEQUENT principles and laws must be held against. The word 'constitutional' mean the question: 'Is the intent of the principle or law in general agreement with the constitution?' That is why we have 'constitutional' specialists, from attorneys to judges to legal scholars, because a 'constitution' is exactly that -- a set of principles. Or 'founding' principles.

So to say that I consider the Magna Carta to be completely devoid of morality and ethics is to be intellectually dishonest. But hey...!!! You claimed to be a journalist. May be we should expect THAT from such a person.

Show me a nation that is not. And I will show you either a poor nation on the way to extinction or is history-ed.

Reality is this, Herr Snob, only nations that value wealth and respect MATERIAL accomplishments prospered and engraved their names in the history books that they made a difference in the world. Only that type can conquer, absorbed, learned, and achieve greater things.

Without the innovation of Jews, Chinese and immigrants from all over the world, you create no thing but hamburger. The miracle of USA is , a person with IQ BELOW 100 could be president like George w Bush, and revenge Iraq for his father by bankrupting the country. Wish Gesus bless you!
