Angry over their team’s sixth straight defeat against India in World Cup, cricket fans in Pakistan vented their frustration by breaking TV sets on streets. The angry protesters were seen thrashing and hammering their TV sets after Pakistan’s 76-run loss to India.

India again emerged victorious in a rather one-sided affair, thus maintaining their magnificent record against Pakistan by winning the sixth consecutive World Cup game since the rivalry started way back in 1992.

Dubbed as ‘war without the guns’ the passionate Pakistani cricket community including former players, pundits, critics and fans were left disappointed and dejected after watching Misbah-ul-Haq and his men fail to stop the Indian juggernaut.

Cricket-crazy fans in Pakistan woke up early to watch the eagerly anticipated clash between the arch-rivals in Adelaide hoping that the Misbah-ul-Haq-led side will change history but were left fuming as their team suffered its sixth straight loss to India in ODI World Cups.

A Pakistani TV channel showed visuals of people taking to streets with TV sets and smashing them to pieces to show their anger at the Pakistan team’s showing.

Giant screens had been put up at many public places as people gathered to watch the high-voltage clash but were left extremely disappointed with the outcome, Samaa TV reported.

It was the most eagerly awaited match of the World Cup and the venue — Adelaide Oval — was ‘under virtual siege’ as Indian fans took complete control of the city outnumbering their Pakistani counterparts.

The green jerseys of the Pakistani fans looked like dots in an ‘Ocean of Blue’.

Indians and Pakistanis also exchanged barbs on the social media.

thats actually a very unique way to protest against your teams performance , will do that if india gets kicked out of the tournament .

will go with my TV to the airport , when the team will arrive smash tv in front of them & give them an angry stare. A very unique way to show your disappointment , frustration .

pakistanis are very innovative .

I've gotta say this. At least they never pelt their players' houses with stones. But yeah , this is still hillarious . What a waste.

I remember Wasim Akram's house was pelted in 96, but it's rare here.

These kind of things were common in India too before 2007 T20 WC. I assume people here have become more sensable? Or perhaps its Dhoni magic? Who knows.......
