TF-X ( MMU ) maiden flight at the end of 2023

According to TEMEL KOTIL ( President & CEO at Turkish Aerospace ) TFX will make its maiden flight at the end of 2023

The first flight was previously scheduled for 2025

Turkiye chose to use F110-GE-129 in MMU prototypes and perhaps the first 1-2 squadrons MMU Blok 1 to be delivered to the TURAF as 2028-2030

because that Engine is used in the F-16s in our inventory.

TAI desires to manufacture F-16 block 70 Fighter Jets

TAI aspires to the production of 40 F-16 Block 70 Fighter Jets that Turkiye wants to supply from the USA.

TAI will produce F-16 Block 70s in Ankara, if allowed

Since the 1980s, TAI has produced more than 300 F-16s under license

TAI contacted Lockheed Martin to carry out the final assembly and modernization of the aircraft at TAI facilities, and a delegation from Lockheed Martin surveyed the TAI facilities.

France-Greece-Egypt presence in the Eastern Mediterranean pushes Turkiye to take urgent measures

TCG ANADOLU Amphibious Assault Ship enter service in 2023
but there seems to be more time for the TF-2000 Air Warfare Destroyer…

3 Type-23 Frigates which can be upgraded to escort TCG ANADOLU
stop-gap solution until 3 TF-2000 Destroyers around 2033

48 Eurofighters with METEOR air to air missiles can be good stop-gap solution until the TFX squadrons around 2033

The Type-23 Frigates make no sense - as they are OLD and well past their service lives already. Given Turkey can make these types of ships for itself - the decision to purchase the Type-23 Frigates makes no sense - these things have very limited shelf life left. I therefore think this report is false/odd.

Also - Trance 1 Eurofighters wont support Meteors - so any Typhoons will be new build and with talks of F16 Block 70's with the AIM-120D's, it is difficult to see if this report is true - or a vain attempt to tell the americans "we have options etc".

The RAF - the operator of the Tranche 1 Eurofighters dismissed upgrading the Tranche 1 to Tranche 3 as being economically unfeasible/not wise. So - if the RAF - which has all the infrastructure to support and maintain the Tranche 1's has decided it makes no sense to do anything with the Tranche 1's except run down their remaining flying hours doing QRA and Red Air Aggressor training - and then they decided to kill them(personally i dont understand RAF/UK MOD decision making sometimes - but who does..). Then what is "logic" that the Turkish Airforce is using to induct a new type, and then say they want to spend that kind of money on upgrading them from Tranche 1 to Tranche 3 versus making the same decision as the RAF originally did - which is leave them as they are ?

The proposal makes no sense - it will cost as much to do the upgrade as to buy new and the Tranche 1 have structural issues that cap their capabilities for further upgrades.

Please do some research on the history of the Tranche 1 Typhoons in RAF service first ...

RAF has more 100 Eurofighter tranche 3 and new F35s

They dont need to spend money to upgrade tranche 1 to tranche 3

Turkiye needs urgently Fighter Jets and we can buy only from the UK

If we buys new Eurofighters , then delivery will be in 2030
but we can buy and modernize 24 Eurofighters tranche 1 to be ready in 2025

Why do you need "urgently" fighter jets? You've been boasting that "nobody can defeat regional superpower Turkiye".
Contradicting yourself again.
