Why are you so mad ? That is that I read from Indonesian analist comment in Indonesian media recently. Many wants Russian oil now, even BD wants it. Market mechanism will of course dictate the Russian price. The situation is different with in the beginning of war where only China and India want it. The price will likely keep being cheaper, but not as much cheaper compared the beginning of Western sanction on Russia.

We can see even Russian gets more money from oil during the war compared to 2021 despite in 2021 oil price has gone up from 60 USD per barrel in the first quarter of the year into around 80 USD per barrel in second semester of the year.

Any way, Indian trade deficit this year around double India had in 2021, so the discounted Russian oil is not really helping your origin country economy under current circumtances either.

Instead of unveiling personal obsession with India, think about the national interests of each Pakistani citizen. Considering the traditional military and economic partnerahip between India and Russia, it is not in interest of Pakistani side to Ask for cheap energy in this way.

WASHINGTON: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has shown an indication to buy Russian oil but on the condition that it provides the important commodity at the same rate that it is giving it to India, reported The News.

While replying to a question in Washington, Dar hoped that the West would have no objection to the import of Russian oil at a discounted rate due to Pakistan’s financial hardship triggered by the recent catastrophic floods.

On the length of the incumbent government, the finance minister said that the coalition government in the Centre have enough time to return to the political front.

“10 months are enough for the government to restore its political prestige and win popularity. We were to select one thing among the two: either to save our politics or the state. We opted for the second,” he said while commenting on the by-polls results.

To a question about US President Biden’s statement on Pakistan’s nuclear programme, he said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had already said that a robust command and control system was in place in the country. The US authorities also acknowledge it often, he added.

On the recent Financial Action Task Force’s (FATF) recent meeting, Dar is optimistic that Pakistan would get out of the watchdog’s grey list. A meeting is expected in a few days and the government is hopeful that the country would come out of the FATF grey list, he said.

The finance minister was in Washington on a four-day visit where he met IMF, World Bank officials and others.

Russia should decide if they want to partner with Pakistan or India.

Russia dosent have to decide between India or Pakistan, Russia can sell oil to Pakistan if Pakistan has the money to pay and if Pakistan has the refineries to process the Russian crude oil and the means to make payments with Russia under sanctions.

I think you have misunderstood what the Pakistani finance ministry was trying to point out as an Iranian you of all people should understand double standards. Your own Tehran government argues Pakistan india isreal have nukes why Iran is blocked. India or China which ever country name we say , it still comes back to the main point why Pakistan was stopped. Pakistan has no issue with Delhi Moscow friendship we are mature enough to live with it. And Russia , is not bothered or fussy how Pakistan puts its case to the world. Please explain, how you would keep such an oil deal with Pakistan and putin quite , long enough for oil deliveries. Pm khan only visit to Moscow , had the entire EU ambassadors in Islamabad up in arms kicking down our foreign office door to complain.
