What's new

Patriots of Pakistan who did not join military, do you ever feel depressed?

Tell that to the dead bodies of Pashtuns rotting in graves from American drones. I am sure they feel saved.

Iraq and Libya had worst American puppets dictators like Musharaff. If Pakistan had oil reserves like Iraq, our fate wouldn't be very different. Can't forget how America bombed us within our own soil flying drones from our own country and we were the terrorists and they were the heroes. This was when we were strategic partners, imagine if we were the enemy.

Musharaff is a hero to Americans not Pakistanis especially not Pathans.

Should not have given safe residence to terrorists---.

I did CSS and then left it and now 6 years down the line I feel I made the right choice as bureaucracy wasn't for me.
You passed it ?

I guess yes, Do CSS but then you are submitting yourself to a corrupt system, top to down, You have to catalyse the wrongdoings of your senior, You have to work and you have no other option...

So better to stay away from this mess...

Usual blame game, Make mistakes, curse others for own mistakes...

But then, People don’t seem to move on, Past is a past. If civilians have dies, so did Military men to fight the crisis in Op Zarb e Azb, Military saved them... Surely Being thankful isn’t common these days...

Yes I passed it.
What sort is the exam BTW ? Is it MCQ ?

Hi,

If you ask me,

It is No but sometimes yes. Mood games, You know...
Thats what I am going through right now. This lockdown has killed about 90% of my business, I was feeling so depressed and helpless, It was taking a toll one me, so I thought why not share my thoughts with people who at least partially share your views. you took it so negatively.

I had always wanted to be a ground controller, As an Air force officer, Never a pilot or an engineer.

Thats intersting, I too, have never wanted to be a pilot or foot soldier, flying jets does not interest me, and I am just not the sort of person who would follow orders without thinking, my wiring is different. I wanted to be the guy working on its tech, I am a software guy you know...

But, Then my mind suggested me bigger and better, When you have bigger potential, You don’t submit yourself to your wishes or wants, You polish yourself to your potential even if you don’t want to... That is the Game of Life, A Challenge. Life is a Game, Play it in the toughest mode.

Exactly.

First 6 papers for compulsory subjects with 2 papers a day then after that another 6 papers for optional subjects. Once you pass the written then you your medical checkup followed by 2 days of psychological assessment and psychological interview, after that you have your final interview and only then your final result is announced so let's presume you've given your written exam in February this year then you'd be joining civil services academy in September or October 2021.

Hi,

Sorry to burst your bubble of fanboyish patriotism but remember,

Times have always demanded minds in Battlefields, Hands and legs are considered pawns to the minds.

Don’t mind my statement as being harsh or something, But the ranking system in services clarifies my point.

You have foot soldiers, Their job is to not think, But act upon orders. Just act and act like a pawn, Fight like a lion, Come out as a victor or die as a martyr. Then there are officers, Captains, Majors, Colonels, They are the Important pieces of the chess board, They are required to use more mind than hand, Planning wins it all. 1 officer to xy soldiers...

So, Point was, Just like you, we have thousands ready to act like soldiers, But come on, think big and better, Be the mind game, Take the challenge of being an officer on a battlefield...

Hi,

You are right and you are wrong---. If I had it my way---I would have joined the army--my parents did not let me join as I was the only son.

Then I wanted to join police---but again my parents did not allow---.

Complete your education---. Complete it in a field that has jobs and NOT WHAT YOU LIKE---.

Find a state or federal job---. Find a secure job---a job that has retirement benefits---. The crisis of 2008 and this current crisis has destroyed many a people who owned their businesses---were in their 50's or in my age group and did not get re-hired---.

I had hated my sales profession in the initial years when I started in it---but then I was grateful to be in this profession because more educated people than me were jobless and lives ruined---during the 2008 financial crisis.

Don't play it too tough---the ups are high---the downs are so low that they put you sitting at the edge of the black hole that makes you believe it is the only salvation---.

You passed it ?

I guess yes, Do CSS but then you are submitting yourself to a corrupt system, top to down, You have to catalyse the wrongdoings of your senior, You have to work and you have no other option...

Hi,

If good people stay away---the vacuum would be filled by the bad people---.

That was Imran Khan's blunder when Musharraf offered him the job---on his refusal the worst got that position---.

Secondly---never refuse the opportunity---sometimes Allah gets mad at you that He selected you and you refused His good will---. He has guided the good person in you that you maybe kind and helpful to His poor and the weak and you reject it---.

You have the guts to call out musharraf, I refrained from it knowing how negative people here respond. I wish I was capable of using all sorts of guns and be fit enough to be useful. I am not.

So you read the title, I get it. I dont know if you are muslim or not, but we are taught the concept of shahadah from early age. You are misguided if you think we attach the concept of shahadah with patriotism, we dont.

I dont think you understand the idea if willingness to serve your country when it is needed.

If it was possible, It would have happened a long time ago, It has not happened so far. I know how to see through people's BS. But anyways, I appreciate your concerns, dont be.

I'm not the lost and confused one asking idiotic questions on this forum - my advice was genuine - take it in

You are lost and confused. I would give you a solid piece of advice.

Next time, before jumping to angry conclusions, calling people names and stuff, ASK QUESTIONS or at least be kind enough to read the thread.

Have a nice day.

I don’t, there are many ways to contribute. And despite being abroad, I can have a much more positive impact on Pakistan than I otherwise might have.

People should understand there are so many ways to serve one’s country. Everyone should take responsibility for it and start with the basics. Be kind to your fellow citizens and deal honestly in all things, pay your taxes, don’t litter and help keep the streets clean, teach your children better so that they can contribute.

If you want to really contribute and you’re not in the armed forces, heed what Islam says about the importance scholars for example. Become a highly qualified researcher or professor, some subject matter experts like these are as important for national interest as any general is. A Nobel laureate in Physics or Chemistry has immeasurable worth and contribution to any country.

There are multiple kinds of Jihad, and there’s is barakat in all of them if one perseveres.

So many people are taking this question wrong, I updated the original post, please reread it.

This sounds like an awesome idea actually. If only I was able to conceive it when I was young. I would rather assume position of power in my country now though (too many freaking traitors). You have actually gave me a pretty good reason to pursue more education...

Let me know about Karachi... How expensive it is?
If you still want to know about shooting places in karachi, Better play PUBG
