IAF plans to hit targets in 24 hours

From the psy-ops perspective what Pakistan has done with regards to the PAF vigil has been a stroke of genious.
PAF being made to go on CAP over Pakistan, burning expensive jet fuel, putting Pakistani exchequer under strain, especially since your govt is under financial strain [do check the thread about Pakistan economy in this forum]. your problem is further compunded by the fact that you are an oil importing nation.
These patrols are only increasing your imbalance in your export:import ratio
I think from a strategic and economic point of view, the fact that India's statements prompted to engage in your own xpensive CAP is a stroke of genius by India
Hypothetically speaking, any foreign individual or organisation about to invest money in India will most definetly put such investment off to a later date if not cancel indefinetly.
Some of the Investment news-post 26/11

Morgan Stanley starts India PE deals

An example India's trade diverification in view of the global recession
Trade turnover with India hits US$2.3 billion

not only are foreign companies investing in India, but India itself is beeing wooed by other Asian countries for investing in their coutry
Vietnam Expected To See Indian Investment Boom
I am not saying that everything is hunky-dory here in India [ though inflation has now been brought down to 7% a few days back from the massive 13%].
India is not being able to achieve the level of trade growth it would have achieved had Pakistan's relation with India not been the away it is now

Yet India's governance, leadership and environement continues to prove suitable for Economic and trade ventures.

The Pakistan military should announce some form of veiled threat concerning the safety and intergrity of Mumbai and Bangalore to add another proverbial nail to the Indian economic coffin.

We don't have much to lose in terms on FDI where as India has it all to lose. Lets put into place such actions to make it count.

You nailed it buddy!!!

I had said these very words earlier in another post [are you copying my posts :(?]

A country that has achieved significant economic and developmental progress would lose a lot more than a country whose economic and developmental progress is abysmal

Once hostilities commence they will all be gone and infrastructure damaged.

Cost of oil has dropped to 34 dollars a barrel so its not as expensive as you predict to fly these sorties. When it comes to defense of the country nothing is expensive.

Exactly... So while India will lose a lot more by going to war. The less economically developed nation will get another chance to re-build their nation

So you can rightly guess who benefits if there occurs a war between India-Pakistan? [hint: second sentence]

slugger,

Your telling us about economic consequences of jets mobilizing to their air bases while your nation violates our air space...?? Come on man!! Get a better topic.

this puts an end to the discussion of burnin jet fuel.:pakistan:

Would you be able to accept a fact that India's reaction and subsequent steps it has taken is a purely Economic attack on Pakistan. While Pakistan beefs itself up for a war with India, it failed to noitce that the war has already started

India's economic Bleed Pakistan mission has been totally missed by your country's Military leadership

You are forgetting one thing - the current PM of our country is an Economist [the hell..he has got a feakin PhD to flaunt his credentials]. His 1991-92 budget and liberalisation reforms ushered in the progress and GDP growth rate that India is witnessing

You have your military on a heightened state of alert - such state of the armed forces results in heightened utilization of resources which has to be purchased with your own money. The US reimbursement that you get is essentally what you have spent on America's WoT after you have aleredy spent the amount

Your country's precarious economic condition [plz don't try to explain to me your country is not in a bad condition] will become even worse as time passes in this heightened state of military readiness

This eyeballing will continue for a month or two, with your county spending even more of its resources to support the military instead of uplifting the civillians

Two months later Indian's tone down rhetoric, the Armed forces stand down to their normal peacetime postion [some reason will be released to justify this].

Headlines News in the Jang, Dawn - Pakistan seeks additional $7.2 billion USD from the IMF. total loan sanctioned to Pakistan reaches $14.4 billion USD. Will take you the next 17-20 years to repay the loan [assuming good things for Pakistan in loan repayment] and being imposed with even more humiliating austerity measure

WTH...even our home minister is an Economist [with an equally freakin crazy PhD to flaunt :D]

While our country is being ruled by men of money (money geeks :D) and know only how to hurt others with the power of money, your country has activated its radars on the lookout for missiles...not realizig that the missile has alredy been launched

You might argue that even India has to suffer economic issues, you continue to forget that India is in a much, much, much better position economically than Pakistan to absorb the impact

We have attacked you and you did not even respond

God,i'm just amazed also worried the way many members keep harping how India gonna ruin its economic boom while its not gonna hurt pakistan since not much happening on the economic front any way.All these talk preemptive nuclear strike sending India to stone age with out any concern an Indian retaliation which means total annihilation of Pakistan. for members its doent matter, pakistan is expendable as long as it can hurt india badly.

wow...guys...has it come to this now...Pakistan a fidayeen??

Anyway i'm sure most people living pakistan would put more value on their own lives and worth of Pakistan.

Oh my goodneess - scrambling a few jets is going to economically bleed Pakistan.

If that is the sort of calculus your Military and political leadership is utilizing to pressure Pakistan then it really is a sorry reflection of their comprehension of Pakistan and ability to formulate effective polices to pressure Pakistan.

Bilsher -I will answer your question after you:

1. Stop foaming at the mouth.
2. Answer MY original question " What are you doing in Wembly, UK since you hate the west sooo much"?

Any other response to your rant is pointless..

You cannot answer his questions not because he's foaming at mouth while you're foaming at the rear end but because you are, like most Americans, a dirty hypocrite.

I think some people are really exaggerating and have no clue on Pakistans fuel reserves.
Like AM said, how is this economically going to bleed Pakistan?
I mean, I try and take people serious, but certain posts simply cannot be taken serious.

Would you be in a postion to corraborate your statement with valid data. Your hypothesis is in contradiction with all the available information that has ennumerated by the numerical and qualitative superiority of the US Armed Forces and the size of its economy when compared with that of China.

China mantains its balance of military power with the US with the deployment of its ICBMs, which though lesser than that of the US, acts as a sufficient deterrent.

china defeated the u.s. troops before when u.s. tryed to invade north korea
thats proves their willpower
alot has change by then but the positions overall are the same

Indian cowards will not dare to attack pakistani soil because they know very well that Pakistani air force is the worlds 2nd best air Force and we are already on red alert and we will teach them a lesson that they will never forget

Slugger,

The responsibility lays with the recipient to use the help in a productive manner. You had people with vision who laid down the foundations of IITs and the associated B schools. Our Pakistani leadership lacked the vision. Chinese educated their entire population and we could not learn this lesson from them...well I think the fault lies with Pakistan and not with the Chinese. What was stopping the GoP from asking the Chinese to provide a grant for a world class University? Nothing but lack of vision and foresight. Pity on us.

Thats strange!!! why GOP is going to China for all their problems at home!! That must be irritating for China itself.. Its strange to ask any foreign country for assistance in building a University. Even I saw GOP gone to China to build their port which only costs 200 million. That was not a multi billion dollar project!!! It was not even part of the cost but the total cost of the project.

It does not serve India if you realise that your country has prepared for the wrong kind of war, for which I am extremely thankful .your reaction only works to India's advantage

....is a sorry reflection of their comprehension of Pakistan and ability to formulate effective polices to pressure Pakistan.
The aim is not to pressure Pakistan, but to Bleed Pakistan - making Pakistan spend too much money in imports and heightened military activity and not recieving a comparable amount through export

‘Pakistan’s seafood export in jeopardy’
No export order for leather garments in two months
Pakistan - Wrong policies of government pushing textile mills into catastrophic crisis

Not only this Pakistan is paying for the Indian Armed Forces
A study conducted by The News has found no major impact on the inflow of goods from different routes from India to Pakistan. However, on the export side, downtrend has begun.
P.S: The Oberoi Trident Hotel groups have taken a decision not to host citizens of Pakistan at any of its chain of hotels

I think some people are really exaggerating and have no clue on Pakistans fuel reserves.
To be frank, my statement was based on what I had read around a month back
So I Googled your country and found out that'
Iran offers oil to Pakistan on deferments
It essentially means that not only is your fuel reserve in the most precarious levels, but also that you have no money to pay for your fuel.
