IAF plans to hit targets in 24 hours

hello i am waiting for the last 24 hours in front of my computer to see when the IAF is going to strike but i guess they will strike within the next 24 hours...

jokes apart the fact is they didnt and will not strike as of now.

Its not easy to just start a war like that. Both countries have thousand things to think before taking the first step.

Both countries have potential losses to keep in mind ( In India,s case its much much more )

you r absolutely right sir, war is no childsplay.
sir i hope there is never a war between the two countries .
i was just having a bit of fun about the title of the thread

Pakistan hasn’t let her guards down yet and things aren’t fully back to normal…:disagree:

No panic intended but still, next few days are crucial…

I think India will not strike. They're not US just wannabe.Just acting like US.Even if they do attack we have enough military and nuclear power to defend ourself and send India back to stone ages (If they intend to do the same to us..)

seems like India cannot keep us with her words opps ! 24hrs.........or does they forget to mention that 24years to prepare to strike Pakistan ; either way failure awaiting :)

india never said they gonna strike within next 24hrs. these were mere speculations which i guess only we on this forum know about.
however situation in pak seems quite tense. i was talkin to my maa and she was sayin ppl in islamabad have climbed to their roof tops and are chanting slogans wheneva they see any pakistani jet. seems lik these jets are doin a gud job atleast in boostin nations morale. gud that the fuel prices have gone down considerably in the international market;).

Nobody seems to discuss the type of aircraft IAF may use in its ground strikes.........the low-level flying of PAF indicates that PAF is also considering a low-level attack/bombing run by Jaguars/Mig-27/Mirage-2000H.

Out of these three types, Jaguar seems more suited for low-level strike, but Jaguar can't defend itself well from air-defence fighters and escort will be required. Even Mig-27 and Mirage-2k in ground-attack mode don't usually carry BVR A2A missiles.

Mig-27 and Mirage-2kH can do precision strikes with LGBs but in the presence of PAF, it would be hard to first mark the target by laser and then drop LGBs from medium altitude...........even other PGMs require the aircraft to fly a bit higher so as to gain range for PGM.

In case of both Lahore and Muzafarabad, IAF can launch a standoff A2G PGM while remaining well inside Indian or IHK airspace and for this reason, even an incursion of 1/2 km should not be tolerated in these conditions.

In case of standoff A2G weapons being used by IAF, PAF should not stop at Int Border and instead continue hot pursuit if pilot has the advantage.

For optimum results, two teams of fighters can be arranged for stopping the incursions. One team responsible for stopping the IAF planes during ingress and second one during egress.

OK! 6 pages and 84 posts later, Let me ask the question. Other than the article in The Nation, I have seen no link, no credible source or anything else that says India is threatening an Air strike in 24 hours ( no less).

Is this just a case of mass hysteria? Even the Indian PM has over and over again said there are no plans for such an action. Where is the paranoia coming from???

China supplied 250 F-7s, when India last threatened this sort of war in 2002. That's a lot of F-7s.

That is the kind of help Pak needs, China doesn't need to put boots on the ground.

Exactly, we need Chinese hardware and political weight only, we're not short of armed personnel, specially in time of emergency.

I wonder how many gallons of precious jet fuel PAF used up just today, while the IAF just watched?

I beg to differ mate, psy-ops and window dressing is never waste of anything, I personally think that PAF did deliver the right signal both home and abroad.

From the psy-ops perspective what Pakistan has done with regards to the PAF vigil has been a stroke of genious.
Hypothetically speaking, any foreign individual or organisation about to invest money in India will most definetly put such investment off to a later date if not cancel indefinetly.

The Pakistan military should announce some form of veiled threat concerning the safety and intergrity of Mumbai and Bangalore to add another proverbial nail to the Indian economic coffin.

We don't have much to lose in terms on FDI where as India has it all to lose. Lets put into place such actions to make it count.

Well, its been 28 hours since the report came out and I'm still waiting.
Bring it on! :smokin:

Neo, buddy! Apart from that article in The Nation, I have not seen, heard, or found any other source to substantiate the veracity of that article.

I think it is the work of an overly imaginative jounalist seeking sentationalism!!!

It did manage to whip up a frenzy of war hysteria though!:P

Given the professionalism of either Forces ( IAF OR PAF), do you think they would EVER announce in public media WHAT they are planning on doing?

If you noticed real combat pilots and veterns such as Muradk have not posted at all !

Why? because they know... the armchair internet pilots don't.
