i know but you still wont be able to play any new games.

hell im not even sure if youl be able to play counterstrike.

i have 512mb ram, 80 gig hdd, amd athlon 2100xp processor (running at 1800mhz) and a 64 meg graphics card and i still cant play half life two, battle field two...any new game.

it will be similar to upgrading spit fires to carry aim 9 x and harpoon etc etc.

But dude he has only 8 GBs so all he can install is 2 high quality games. So yeah he will need to get larger capacity hard drive. Also Awais make sure you know that you will lose all of your data wheather you upgrade your computer and buy a new one.

Trust me and buy a new one... Or use your computer for "stop gap" until Pentium 5 comes! :bounce: "stop gap" Awais' F-16!

There is nothing like P5 coming up. they (INTEL) are going to use numbering series for there upcoming processors and no clock speed either.
Let me tell you some thing Awais. Pentium processors are good specially those with Hyper threading (HT) also called Presscott but dont go for them if you want to play games as they are no match with AMD 64 bit Processors. Athlon are not that good either as much as 64bits are if you have money go for an AMD 64 bit with DDR2 ram if possible and Radeon graphic card a new hard drive as well. since new hardrives are faster (RPM's) and helps loading games and helps paging for windows. Dont think about paging its nothing you have to worry about.
Best of luck!

Amd 64 X2 i think is the best out of their series of procesors. i mean the x2 4800 is faster then the fx57 :o but fx57 is better in single aplication..

pentium is strugling to cope with the amd 64 lol...the amd chips run WAY cooler.
