Indian journo dares to call Bangladesh a ''buffer state''-Local newsmen taken aback

Do YOU even know the implication from promoting such pakistani agenda???

BDR bloodbath was funded by pakistan backed groups to destabalize the country , as govt has shown determination to open all 1971 war crime cases .....
So do you admit ISI can control your Millitary?

Indians can really be dense. I document and analyze India's subversive and propaganda attacks on its neighbors. Quite easy to do actually. You don't need to be an insider to figure out what India is doing.

Firstly, do not generalise.

Yes Indeed Pokhran II could not be detected in adv by US & the likes of arm chair strategists Can un ravel' mysteries just by pushing a pen.

Well, if it makes them happy ( & make a few bucks on the side).. good for them.

No it actually requires reading thousands of books, articles, research papers and intelligence reports to unravel the Indian design for South Asia but with enough commitment it is possible and has been done.

Somehow could not locate your book in Amazon. Where is your book sold?

I thought you had the minimum knowledge about Bangladesh before posting on Bangladesh! BDR is not military force. It's a border security force. Its soldiers are not military soldiers.

but yes i'd agree. Sadly, ISI has considerable (evil) influence on some Bangladeshi institutions. Its mission is very unislamic and it has been trying to destabilize our country since 1947 and are still trying their best.

I dont think ISI has that much influence in BD institution but ISI do have co-operation with DGFI and army. BD army is not involved in any subversive activity against India as BD army dont want to take the risk of provoking any war. If you look very closely with the 10 truck arms haul you see that army was not involved in that but some rogue officer of NSI and smugglers were involved. If army and govt top brass were involved then they could use army truck to carry those arms to border without any problems whatsover.

BDR is infact trained and built as military. They are auxilary force and will be merged with Army at the time of war. That is why they are lead by army.
They are not border force like other countries.

As we are a very small densely populated country you have to defend from zero line. You dont have extra time to mobilize army which takes 2/3 days and by that time enemy will be marching in Dhaka.

as a result of recen complications,we can see that the bd govt had very little hold and knowhow about whats happening in bdr.....i have a few questions.....who heads the bdr?? Why have two seperate forces, military and bdr, with such huge numbers in each, which have no influence on each other?? How much hold does the bd govt have on both the forces?? Will the newly formed bdr have the same structure and command?? What type of heavy weapons does the bdr have access to?? Thnx

At the time of war or emergency, even the police can be merged with military in Bangladesh or Pakistan. That does not mean BDR is in the armed force or in the equal footings with the army. BDR troops are not trained with the military troops but yes they are trained by army officers because who else will train them?! They are under Home ministry, not Defence ministry and they surely don't relate to their military counterparts. It's evident from the Pilkhana incident. The quality of the training BDR receives is also different. The amenities they receive are also different. Recruiting is different. Officially it's a paramilitary, not fully military unit.

Military intelligence failed. Beside it did not suspect anything of this sort happening. Poor management. Home Ministry heads the BDR. There needs to be a BDR because military can not be in the border; it's against international rules or regional treaties. Like it has to be BSF, not Indian army in the Indo-Bangladesh border. BDR is around 60,000 strong, which is 3 times less than BSF strength, but understandably, as India has border issues with China and Pakistan.

and you compiled the information into one book...:coffee:.hmmmmm.:what:.can you quote me a few books and articals that enabled you to decipher the indian design.....:pop:

You sure know very little about Bangladesh yet harping away with load of BS. Besides, being trained by Army officers, BDR do train with army on regular basis.

Beyond that, this thread is about how Indian journalist, part of Indian foreign minister visit called Bangladesh "buffer state". Do you have anything new to add on be half of india?? If not there is not anything meaningful you are saying.

:woot: ISI is not as cool as MOSSAD my friend...don't listen to INDIAN MEDIA....they just like to scare themselves...for TRP ratings....

:rofl: their was no ISI in 1947 and there was no bangladesh in 1947....what are you talking about.....maybe you meant INDIA trying to destablize your country...

She is Hindu and she has very good relation with indian PM Manmohan Singh . She is a doctor and her relations with Indian politicians is a major headache for the people, policymakers and security agencies. She is a prime agent of India for sure. But she will be taken care of by the people of Bangladesh so that she works for BD.

Brother lets not get personal. Whether she is a hindu or muslim, it does not matter for her job. Whether she is patriotic and ethical thats count along with her knowledge and ability.

A hindu has the same right as muslim to be the head of the country.

I would rather see we are run by people who has moral rather than so called anti indian right politician.
