India to buy American military equipment lying in Afghanistan?

American scrap heap rubbish.

LET IT ROT IN THE DESERT...

We have billions $$$$ to buy shinny new C17 C130 * RAFALES AND CARRIERS

Actually the money saved could be used to plan better cities, develop infrastructure, clean the ganges, etc. How about lawmakers tacking the issue of clean drinking water? Are we going to wait and be reactive, or proactive to water shortage before the problem gets out of control? F-king Indian govt does not do ****

Actually it would not help much in the end. There are other issues than money. And besides, defence spending is less than 2 % of our GDP while infrastructure spending alone surpasses all other spendings together. It will be + one trillion USD in the next 5 years alone (of course most of it comes from investments.).

Now stop crying with your F- words. Does not make you sound more clever. Besides, I guess you got no clue about the importance of military strength in the most dangerous region in the world, eh ?

A couple of say back Indian were calling them "Leftovers" and laughing at Pakistan.
Now they are assessing the feasibility themselves.

I stopped reading when I saw "Rohrabacher" and i suggest others do too, you're wasting your time - the guy's a goof

as for surplus/2nd hand stuffs that're more expensive to ship back than replace - i'd imagine it'll go mostly to the services of 'friendly' countries -- such as ANA. There is a lot of debate over the sub-billion USD amount proposed for Mi17s and other Russian equipments for ANA - given their lack of expertise and training.

some may go to some central asian countries; it was said that some would possibly go to Pak forces though i'm in absolutely no position to talk about it as i have no infos on it.

either way - the most lethal equipments they will likely take back

Anything that required EULA, you will not get without having to go thought a senate select committee. So that leaves what exactly? Beans and Bandaids?, and as Sir Abu Zolfiqar said the article and it's contents is a waste of time.

Has he said anything wrong... from his past rhetoric, he's been calling spade a spade.... nothing goofy about that.

well let's see....he talks about treachery and corruption and perfidity while he speaks moral support to warlords and while he himself supported the mujahideen in Afghanistan during the Cold war

the guy is such a fraud, and quite the flip-flopper.
