Which country is China's best/true friend?

China and Pakistan have got the common interests.... !!! So friendship still is there higher than the Himalayas and the deeper than the oceans........ :taz:

US...if US would not have brought Chinese toys and plastic, China may nor have been the economy that it is today

You make it sound like they bought it out of the goodness of their hearts. And had nothing to do with cheap labor and attractive regulations for manufacturers.

If the primitive men would not have toiled all day long, civilizations may not have been possible.

Hard work pays.

That's is true, but the question here is who is China's true friend.

I don't think it panned out like that but Ayub was an idiot so it might be possible !

At any rate if one read's the Shaba-Nama by Qudrut Ullah Shahab (a famous work by a well known career civil servant who worked with Ayub & his predecessors) he writes that on the eve of the 1962 War the Chinese Diplomat in Pakistan called him up & told him that we're about to do what you guys were about to do which means Kashmir would be significantly weak ! Shahab writes that that is all he needed to say & I hurried to the President (Ayub Khan) in the middle of the night & told him what the Chinese Diplomat had told us & do you know what Ayub's reply was 'You woke up at 3 in the morning to tell me this ?'

And he says that we all felt like smashing our heads against a wall or something after hearing that but he was the President !

Pakistan is not taking any Aid anymore !

But I never said Pakistan against the US or Japan - I said thats what the people of Pakistan would want !

In the '71 War the Passes were closed, in the '71 War whatever was happening in the Eastern Wing (East Pakistan) even the GHQ didn't know because Niazi was telling them talps of victory & what not whilst the idiot he was he was loosing territory !

In '99 even the Airforce & the Navy didn't know not even the rest of the Army so how can one expect another country to know what was happening ?

Even nawaz knew the plans.. he was briefed abt it way before the ops started.. my father recieved nawaz himself...... nawaz is a f.. liar...

And you forgot to add....sweeter than honey.

It is a different question....US could have changed but they didn't. Just look at the quantum of exports of China to US

unfortunately hard work is not a country... you will have to choose among countries, thats what OP wants to know.

Export-import does not determine friendship based on geopolitical interests. His question itself was invalid and so was my answer.

I don't know, I just went by this article here:

Bhutto's foreign policy legacy - DAWN.COM

The roots of our strategic relationship with China go back to the India-China clashes in October 1959 in Ladakh.

Bhutto was then leading Pakistan's delegation at the UN General Assembly. He was alarmed at President Ayub Khan's offer of joint defence to India. Bhutto felt that only those unlettered in international affairs could believe that such an offer would be accepted. In fact, it was more likely to incur the hostility of China which had so far, despite our membership of anti-communist western alliances, refrained from criticising Pakistan.

It was a missed opportunity. The Kashmir question might have been solved in that year in Pakistan's favour, if Ayub Khan had made the opposite decision.

In that case, China's true friend was China's hard work.

Hard work is a quality of oneself, not a friend. When Hard work has an opportunity than only will hard work have a result. US provided China an opportunity and China grabbed that with two hands.

It's definitely not hindi-chini bhai bhai

Pakistan is their natural ally. I hope you both prosper and Pakistan's situation improves. :)

Relations between India - Pakistan should improve, South Asia is for South Asian people chinese entering into S.Asia is not a good scenario.

Pakistan is not taking any Aid anymore !

Pakistan doesn't take aid?? that's not true - I don't want to take it off topic by listing down the aid Pakistan receives annually - Japan is a big donor for Pakistan - the US/UK and Japan proabably make the top 3.

But I never said Pakistan against the US or Japan - I said thats what the people of Pakistan would want !

That doesn't serve the purpose does it? what people would want does not matter when someone's counting on an ally. I am sure China will not ask for Pakistan's assistance because they are practical (Pakistan is just a counter for India for them) - but as I said even if they do then Pakistan will not take a step to help them out.

So, the real friend for China is actually Russia.

No we haven't taken any aid since the Government changed !

Only the Coalition Support Fund !

If you're talking about Donations to NGOs - thats a different thing !

Every developing country including yours does that !

And thats precisely why I made that distinction in my first post - Should've read before jumping in !
