Angry India tells US 'times have changed' after diplomat spat

Unfortunately I agree with this assessment. If India is willing to go this far over what is essentially a minor law enforcement issue, you have to question what would happen after a misunderstanding or mistake by our militaries, which hold as many wargames together as anyone else.

Basically India is calling for divorce after an argument over what restaraunt to eat dinner at.

I like your analogy.

Exactly. It is dangerous to handle international affairs with emotions. It is even more foolish to give ultimatums which India doesn't have anything to back it up with.

Release her or else. Or else what?

mine

was

fucking americans

1$=62 inr

do they know this or not??
she was getting 30,000 inr per month plus free food and lodging.

what more should a maid get??disgusting

Here is what I am thinking reading yours though not supporting the argument below as I believe in maintaining the US standards of living for anyone including the maid from India or the official for that sake.

The Indian official got a beautiful house in Manhattan where the rent for even a small apt is more than $4500 per month plus car and other facilities. But she was getting paid more than her colleagues elsewhere in other countries including India(in India it is less than a lakh per month salary) as she is living in US to compensate for the cost of living and was getting paid $4200 per month to $8300 per month(depending upon different reports which is around Rs 2.5 lakhs to around $5 lakhs). The groceries does not come to more than $1000 per month and including other expenses she can manage with her around 1 lakh Indian salary as she is provided the house for living and car for transportation.

Not sure why Indian government need to pay her multiple times than her salary in India. Sounds like a discrimination, right?

PS - Not that I am supporting the maid. I want her to be tried for felony as well as both(the official and the maid) were cahoots before something happened and maid had taken the upper hand by claiming victimhood.

President become rapist? LOL. Enough of rape stories you made up. Its time for Indian elite to follow the law.

Your personal opinion is noted.

what else you call a person who abuses his office to seduce his junior staff enjoys sexual liaisons with her over 2 years and then when things are exposed ...he lies under oath ....and ultimately desecrates the character of the woman he abused ....

Gosh , this is worse than rape ...

and that rapist walks with head held high in US ...that is the ultimate US hypocrisy ....

The President of a country can rape and lie under oath ....and not only bets away with it ...but remains a celebrity president ....

what a mockery of justice America is ???

So much for the justice , rule of law and human rights and protection of minorities and equality before law .....

India government made their case not to the US government but to the India masses, rouse up the India masses to protest and remove the US embassy barricade will force the US to back off and drop all charge against the defendant. India have nothing to hold over US with allow India to squeeze US into agree with India demand.

US will let her walk free trampling its oft celebrated Independent Justice system ..mark my words ....!!!

India government should never used Indian emotion to handle this serious criminal case, lay low and let the government to government negotiate out a deal for both party and allow each other room to maneuver out of this mess, this case should never handle or play up to the public. Now India in a point of no return since the charge forward to the court and the indictment already been serve to the defendant.

One more thing I want to add to this folly.

Can you trust a nation which is a nuclear power that runs high on emotion?

It spells DANGER!

True that, not wise to handle sensitive case with emotional overcharge. Shit hit the fan and you never intended it to happen in the 1st place.

People are making a meal out of it.

Usually, the US runs similar procedures to this on other nations' diplomats. What India should do is to apply the saying " Treat people in the same way you wanted to be treated "

Backdoor channel diplomacy always useful when a nation in a legal trouble in a foreign land. Don't ever bring a negative news to light if you in the receiving end of it.

Thats one side of the coin other side being can you trust a nation which is a nuclear power that has no emotion, thats even scary, after seeing what happened after the first nuclear weapon went off in Japan who could have used the second one,to be moved one needs emotion.

Well, now I am so glad I do not have to subject myself to a call center located in the 'Incredibly Awesome, Shining yet Stinky India'!
Merely due to the fact that it was 'painfully hard' to decipher 'Wictor's' (Victor's) articulate manner of speech. I wish he came with 'subtitles'!

FYI, it's much easier to communicate & comprehend, folks from Philippines!

Anyway the rest of the Bull Crap that you just 'rattled off' i.e. wrote without pausing, I am assuming you talk like that too! I would just like to ask you what is your point?!

Word of Advice bud.....Lay Off The Cow Juice!

My point is that just because you can type cool and impersonate a yankee well doesn't make you one - you belong to the same third world gene pool as the rest of your country men belong too.

My suggestion to the Indian posters here, read the comment section of the Hindustantimes.com. The commentators there have more sense than the Indians here on pdf.

Reading the Hindustantimes.com comments makes me feel India still has hope.

India is defending rights of its Diplomat against an arrogant country full of hypocrisy ?

US will have to let our Diplomat walk free ....

and it will by all means ....mark my words .

The Diplomatic issue is not over yet and it will be over when the Diplomat walks free.

This is no "all talk with no action " type of response from India for sure
