What will be the benefits if West Bengal becomes part of Bangladesh?

This kind of mindset is dangerous.

Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra are both developing well and are rich, and we dont see any big need to have a Tamil or Marathi become PM. As long as the PM and his administration are doing a good job for the whole country...that is what matters.

At local state level, we will of course elect our own people and bureaucrats. As Tamilians we complain about the state of TN bureaucracy...but compared to most states they are actually quite good in getting the job done especially in social programs. This is all that really matters, especially more so now with higher funding going towards states rather than centre.

Similarly WB should focus on fixing itself first and becoming an economic leader in a few fields....then the political power and respect will come naturally....but whoever it is has to be a statesman for the whole country....not just WB.
are you from Nilgiri tribe?

There are certain things that come naturally to us and may not be that natural to people from other nation who are used to a homogeneous culture or ethnicity. We are accustomed to think big, our thought process encompass it all, because we are Bengalis, Biharis, Gujratis, Marathis, Tamils etc., we are diverse. the idea of India becomes hard to comprehend for some of those who are not Indian.

are you from Nilgiri tribe?

There are many tribes in Nilgiri region. No I am not from one of them. I am from the city south of Nilgiri hills (Coimbatore). Originally a lot of my family traces its origins across to Kerala...palghat area.

I know the Nilgiri tribal people quite well, traditionally they gather many types of herbs, fruits etc from the trees in Nilgiri area and they come to sell in the market for a good price in Coimbatore. They learn Tamil as 2nd language though their primary languages are similar though hard to understand for me at least. Tough folk, I am talking about many years ago, situation has changed nowadays I suppose.

Both Communists and TMC thugs are the bane of WB. When WB kicks both of these good for nothing out on the street and never bring them back, then we may have chance of seeing WB growing like it should be.

I am hoping Modi wave hits WB in a big way....but first BJP needs to secure Bihar so they have a nice launchpad in Eastern India.
How can BJP have any influence in WB. The overall political system is dominated by leftists since India's independence.

Things change. After all TMC kicked out communists from power right? Soon it will be TMC turn to get kicked out. I don't think WB people are done experimenting....and they will definitely want someone that can do the job better once they are left further and further behind by other states.

Yes to some extent. Toda and Kota tribes are matrilineal to a large extent and even matriarchial. This is not too different from the customs of various parts of Kerala as well. Due deference is given to women by the society since they are the ones that give birth and ensure the lineage of the tribe is continued. It is only in areas where there has been a long history of classical civilisation (in the plains and river valleys) that we have a development of more male-oriented power structures since there was no tribal hearth anymore and more complex organisations had to be founded....so naturally the greater physical power and tougher "mental acumen" of men ended up dominating in these areas we traditionally are accustomed to.

The tribal religion revolves around worship of a mother goddess, they have kept many of their original beliefs and customs free from mainstream Hindu religion....although nowadays their cultural space is shrinking unfortunately....as more of them intermarry and leave the area.

Nilgiri languages like Baduga,Kuruba,Kotha,Thoda are more akin to Halegannada-Nadugannada(Old-Middle Kannada languages),Baduga and Kuruba, specially Alu kuruba,Betta Kuruba are more or less a dialect of Kannada language..Though there are sizeable presence of Tamil words and influence in these languages..
Paraiya language(spoken mostly in gudalur and pandalur areas) is similar to crude form of Tamil-Malayalam languages..

chutiye WB tera bap ka hai?

buzz off from here you beggar class mentality moron.

west bengal is already a mini bangladesh.

So why do you, day and night applying BD visa here in PDF?

Because it is the dream of @Rain Man to be a Bangladeshi citizen.

I heard nilgiri people are feminists , I like feminist people

The only matriarchal state in India is Meghalaya. So now you know who are feminists.

You mean West Bengalis? :)

We had Indian prime ministers, and only that is important. :)

A Bengali is already President of India, Pranab Mukherjee.

As I have said earlier, people of West Bengal don't hate or look down upon the Bangladeshis. Some of them have close relations too.
There is little reason to hate. However, there are some Bangladeshis, and many of them are not Bangladeshis any more, for they have migrated to UK or elsewhere, they have a thing or two against India. These are the same people who were against creation of Bangladesh from East Pakistan. Some are their next generation. Some of them support the creation Bangladesh to appease the majority and yet hate India nonetheless.
I have seen some of them commenting here, which are less logical and more rants. A typical knee-jerk reaction follows and before you know, you have a war of words at hand. There are typical red-neck types in India too. But I think if nobody incites them, they will mind their own business. Most of them have little to do with West-Bengal and Bangladesh anyway.

Don't speak about something you have know knowledge on.

I think these people are actually scared of immigrants thats why they are reacting all bizarre by a single internet post anyway my friend is no trouble I can calm him down but I'm not so sure about people he's talking to back home.

And seriously I've never seen a Manipuri as a pussy cat they are totally crazy when it comes to fights are you sure you're not getting confused with some other north eastern?
Ya I'm sure they are Manipuri.
Well its understandable why they are peaceful here.Because they are immigrants, minority and Hindu.

I have pretty good idea of what I'm talking about. You, my friend, shove it. :)

Did you know @Rain Man is originally from East Bengal. :P

Once IOB unites with BD people of IOB will be free men. Next Tripura will like to join us. Assam and other NE states/peoples are our kinsmen with close socio-cultural connection. We have complimentary economy. Eventually all the peoples living east of the Rajmahal Hills and west of the Arakan Yoma will come together to form a happy and prosperous sovereign union. Thus will be retrieved the freedom we had lost to the conspirators on 23 June 1757.
