Copy copy copy!!!

Not really. We use(d) Che(h) for 'You'. Many use Aap now though not of Koshur origin.
If you want to go strict, use Tohay for you. Hardly used in regular discussions.
@Shamain in dont derail the thread....Take the language discussion to whatever thread please :enjoy:

why getting stuck on a point, copy isnt good and i really hate it when pakistan side takes something from u. Ur karan johar show tho karan also stole hollywood concept but this ideahas been so pathetically aped on our side that i neverwatch those shows and its in almost all interview shows on our side lolz the pathetic part is that and they havent done it well too.
Copying is bad. That's something everyone knows. Anu Malik and Pritam are not respected in the industry anyway. Call any Indian Anu Malik and see what he/she does to you.

Only good thing is that now we have smartened up and use the original singers. This is true for Pakistan. For example Main Tenu Samjhawaan Ki (from the Indo Pak movie Virsa of 2002) was remade to Samjhawaan last year by the same Pakistani singer/composer. That said, we like good music and Pakistan is an easy target because of your weak judicial system(no lawsuits) and similar culture.

This thread is just a weekend boost for Akheilos. Everybody knows about Anu and Pritam here. Indians have created sites on them (and Bappi) to make fun of them BEFORE Pakistanis knew of the songs themselves. Check the sites and see their origin(those other than Youtube). It is a known fact but that does not shame us honestly because -
i. We listen to songs, don't copy.
ii. We dont care because the song is good and there are a million songs made/remade and a few dozen copies don't change the situation much.

This is as honest an answer you can get from any Indian. The best part is the superb songs (mostly Korean and etc) that we hear later as the original. Like Sarang Hae Ho that was copied by Atif for an Indian movie.

Well if it is knowledge or information sure but if it is BS and trolling then why should I waste my time?

As for suing....THAT is not the issue anything entering indian or Pakistani court will get trailed for years and only prob great grand children will see verdict...

HOWEVER, acknowledging that some wrong is happening is probably a daily dose of denial of indians, right?

Please don't waste your time as well as mine. No interest in picking up fights.
Did you actually read what I said ? How many case-filings have been there so far ? Do you have any idea ? Have you even tried filing a case ?

With all due respect, you are not worth my time or if it makes you feel any better then probably I'm not worth your time and attention, so, let's end this here.

Sure....

I had started a thread on copying songs - from lyrics to tunes to whole songs! From movie themes to even full movies!!!

But it seems like Bollywood has just taken a step further in showcasing lack of originality by even copying these:

10 Hollywood Movies That Were Inspired By Bollywood

Akarsh Mehrotra
Staff Writer

I'm sure everyone is sick and tired of hearing how Bollywood movies have been duplicated or inspired by Hollywood movies. But did you know that this happens the other way around as well? Here is a list of 10 Hollywood flicks that were inspired by Bollywood films:

1. A Common Man (2013)– A Wednesday (2008)
Chandran Rutnam had to cast Academy Award winner Ben Kingsley to pull off Naseeruddin Shah's character from A Wednesday. Yes, A Common Man is not just inspired but is an official remake of Neeraj Pandey's masterpiece.

2. Delivery Man (2013)– Vicky Donor (2012)
The difference between the two movies may lie in the plot and the fact that Vince Vaughn's sperm donations amounted to a total of 533 kids being born as compared to Ayyushman's 53 (guess Vince is more fertile). But the basic idea of the film, sperm donation, has been inspired by Vicky Donor.

3. Fear (1996)– Darr (1993)
Apart from the name (direct translation) and the love triangle, the epic scene of the stalker, Shahrukh Khan, carving K-K-K-Kiran's name on his chest has also been adapted by James Foley in his American thriller, Fear.

4. Win A Date With Tad Hamilton! (2004)– Rangeela (1995)
Well the best friend may not be a tapori as portrayed by Aamir Khan, but the basic plot of the movie is a girl caught in a love triangle between her best friend and a movie star.

5. Kill Bill (2003)- Abhay (2001)
Though the plot differs, this famous thriller by Quentin Tarentino had action sequences which he himself told Anurag Kashyap were inspired by the Kamal Hassan-starrer Abhay.

Abhay was the hindi adaptation of Aalavandhan (a 2001 Tamil film) which also starred Kamal Hassan.

6. Pearl Harbor (2001)- Sangam (1964)
Pearl Harbor was less about Pearl Harbor but more about a romantic love triangle between two best friends and a girl. Plots for both movies are fairly similar and the only difference between the two movies was that Sangam had only one friend as a pilot whereas its Hollywood counterpart had both.

7. Leap Year (2010)– Jab We Met (2007)
The makers of Leap Year claimed the movie was not inspired by Jab We Met. But why don't you decide for yourself? A bubbly, highly-talkative girl on her way to propose to her boyfriend meets a stranger and shares a hotel room with him. They fall in love, get separated but eventually re-unite and get married.

8. Just Go With It (2011)- Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya (2005)

Jennifer Aniston=Sushmita Sen & Adam Sandler=Salman Khan. Yes, that does not really add up, but the basic plots of both movies are very similar.

Both these movies were inspired by Cactus Flower (1969) but with a different storyline.

9. Hitch (2005)- Chhoti Si Baat (1975)
We are all aware that the Bollywood movie Partner is said to be a copy of Hitch. But it looks like Hitchitself was inspired by the plot of Chhoti Si Baat where a guy who fails to woo a girl takes help of a man who makes it his profession to help people with similar problems.

10. Divorce Invitation (2012)- Aahwanam (1997)
Interestingly, S.V. Krishnan Reddy himself recreated his Tamil romantic comedy for the Hollywood Box Office featuring Jonathan Bennett and Jamie L. Sigler.

I have watched both and I am not sure who can call this a copy

In Jab we met he is a rich man while in Leap year...

In leap year she isnt talkative....

Far fetched...About the others- I have not watched more so maybe also far fetched feel good attitude? :pop:

'Partner' gets sued by producers of 'Hitch' - BollySpice.com

Choti si baat didnt come to anyone's mind when this was being discussed :pop:

Are the posters you have posted exact replicas?

They are just inspired, May be the guy who did the posters got inspired by the hollywood posters. That do not mean entire movie is a copy.

I never said these were entire movie copies...

So Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya was a copy of Cactus Flower cant cry about that one now can we?
