What's new

Round One JF17 - Poor Display By Tejas Took 10 more sec Than JF17 To Go Up

Frustra
Hi,

What a joke this display is---the aircraft releases brake at 5:29---wheels up at 5:41---sticks its wheels in at 5:49---and keeps on flying low to gain speed till 5:59---ie is 10 seconds and when it gathers speed---and when it has enough energy buildup---it goes up---.

30 seconds---half a minute-----

What a chicken sh-it lack of power display----

@Viper0011. @Irfan Baloch @Zarvan @Manticore and everyone else----check this out bud----you would like the info

Now look at the take of of the JF 17 at paris

Brake release at 00:57 second-----the moment the wheels are off the ground--it takes a steep climb at 1:17 second and shoots up-----and still the wheels are down and not tucked in---which means a massive drag on the aircraft---.

The wheels go in at around 1:30---.

So---basically---it is up at close to 4000 feet elevation whereas the Tejas is just about lifitng off the runway to put its nose up in the air.

Guys---just check the vidoes out----. Pakistani guys---I told you many months ago---there was a reason for the wheels out take off and the hanging wheels----. They don't want to show the actual power of the aircraft.

Frustrated???

I know you are ...

Hi,

If I tell you---then I have to-----------
Many have tried and yet ...here i am . :)
I just ask because usually people comfortable with The English language would not do it , and you seem to be fluent in the language .

Tejas took 13 seconds to take off... and the guys is saying that Tejas did that in 10 seconds more than JF17...

So JF 17 can get airborn in 3 seconds.... This guys is taking fanboyisim to a whole new level.

Compare this to a JF17 video from Paris air show... it clearly took 18 seconds form break release to get airborn.

Few observations
  • On two different occasions
, Tejas fell down like a dead bird. Witness it at 6:20 and then 10:38. It wasn't a maneuvers but actually a fall.
  • Pilots who were claimed to have practised vigorously were unable to achieve a 180 flip. I hope it wasn't as much a jet's fault as it was for the pilot. Unless it was meant to be 125 degrees flip, it was a visible fail.
  • Tejas flew safely.. didn't try to exhibit any complex maneuver, reverse flight or slow manoeuvres as such. Being impartial, if I could compare it with JF-17s, I still would simply not try to as it was not even a comparable performance.
  • Now what was impressive? I think initial vertical take off was good but later Tejas was able to achieve another limp vertical position which maxed to image no. 3
  • But there is a great news, Indians are happy with this perfomnace. If they are happy with it, we are happier than them. ;)

1. IS a time tested maneuver ... see all old tejas videos...

2. is a negative G maneuver and not a 180 degree flip.(This tells me how much of an Aircraft expert you are )

3. And you got that form a camera chasing the aircraft.. with nothing to give you relative speed... (Shows how much you know about Physics)

When a reply to an analysis is "you are mad", you know which side is winning. ;) Have fun, we are having more of it than you can possibly have after this performance.

Let me give you a prayer, may you have more Tejas.. now if you actually love Tejas, you would take it as a prayer and if you "love" it the much you unable to hide, it would be seen as a curse. But I still expect you actually liked what we all saw! Good for you! Good for India! Good for Pakistan! :enjoy:

You are right, I am not an aircraft expert but I don't need to be an expert to see bad performance. But since you pretend to be one, why don't you educate non-experts like me to understand chemistry behind this physics of yours?

Well it wasn't that bad.... As an aviation enthusiast i enjoyed it... It was somewhat cute :)... anyway ... with digital flyby wire control and powerful engine aircraft's flight envelope is quite impressive...... It's angle of attack is still somewhat huge.... but over all turn rate is good... As for JFT ... i guess it has already been discussed here allot that it has awesome aerodynamics it just need a better engine and a better flybywire system ... but watching performance of Tejas i am more happy about the fact that even after billion of dollars of investment Tejas is not really what it was intended to be... and with very limited investment JFT is much much more than what it was intended to be... and in comparison it can really standout as a better platform...

Tejas is exactly what it's supposed to be ...a point defence fighter in the 'light' category. JF 17 is ...weird. If it's a medium fighter then how does it weigh and range like LCA? Confusing plane.

Hi,

I like the inquiring mind------there is a reason for that. I cannot leave a private message otherwise I would share it with you.

The vertical pull up right after slow pass doesn't say anything about its TWR? but according to you its to gain power?

descend = Fall???!!!!!!

A negative g maneuver = Failed Flip????!!!!

Any plane when it goes from horizontal to vertical will do it describing angles, you conveniently took the initial angle and trying to portray bs.

Please avoid posing as an analyst when you have little knowledge.

He even called a negative G a 'incomplete flip'. Man these threads are hilarious :rofl:

there is difference between descending and falling. I wish you were less of an Indian to see a fall. I know you don't need to see bad angles or falls but sorry I have no reason not to see bad performance when it is also visible to the world.

So when I am portraying a bs by taking an initial angle only, there is a great opportunity for you to take the full angle and excite rest of Indian members. Why don't you give your ambitions a try and post full angle instead?

Thanks for suggestion but I take advise after I ask for it. If you have evidence to prove me wrong that would be welcomed by many including me. Want to give yourself a try?
