well i opened this thread to talk about future sereies which is again in England and against England to talk how pakistan prepare what are ouw eaker points and what changes we make in next series

i think atleast younis khan has to come in the team our batting is making probleum for us even today we have almost lost it out batsman in middle dont have technique and none of them other than Azhar Ali looks comfortible younis khan should be called in for tour for sure in my opinion experience we need so the youngsters can learn from them during the match i dont see anyone in middle order have experience to let them know in the crease what they should do experience may come handy

the issue with younis and yousaf is that they have become 'political', being senior-most in a young team they can 'destabilize' the young captain because they will use their experience and seniority in wrong ways.

let this team 'gell' in its own time - they will win some and lose some and come out a lot better in the end.

well than shoaib is also political why he is in the team he is the one who started that alll anyway younis in my opinion is best choice for middle order

fair point but shoaib was playing dirty v. younis/yousaf because they were a 'threat' to him.

i am not an expert nor a 'insider' on cricket - on purely cricket terms its difficut to leave out players who average more than 50 with the bat (younis/yousaf/misbah). instead of playing -ve roles they shd be the 'guiding hand' for these young cricketers.

personally these seniors need some training in inter-personal skills

shoaib is in the team because of GILLANI's SON's direct support to him!!

sadly he destroyed the careers of younis & yousuf and SUCH is the state of justice in our country that people like shoaib are back in the team & dasti is relected!!!

shoaib should have been banned for life and it should have stayed tht way but he used his influence to come back!!

Pakistan win by three wickets and level the series 1-1. Fabulous scenes, handshakes all round and Rudi, with a tear in his eye, picks up a stump and leads the players off the field. The Pakistan team give him a souvenir T-shirt which is a lovely touch. There is a lot to like about Salman Butt and he has a very gifted young side under him. Tough tour this for Ricky Ponting and Australia, they lost the one-day series to England, lost the Twenty20 to Pakistan in his absence and could not beat Pakistan in the Tests.

Paul Allott leads the presentation ceremony which begins, fittingly, with a special presentation to Rudi Koertzen - a sculpture depicting Rudi with his infamous 'slow death' dismissal.

One again there are two men of the match. Which is odd, this spirit of cricket lark has gone too far you'd think. Shane Watson is named Australia's man of the match, for his bowling, which, though laughable, has been very good all Test. The Pakistan man of the match is Mohammad Aamer, now he can bowl. In a brief interview he says, "when I smile it gives me confidence." That's the spirit of cricket.

Ricky Ponting, somewhat predictably says he wouldn't have batted first if he knew the wicket would have done so much on the first day and congratulates Pakistan for their tense win. Tantalisingly, he says if he can keep scoring runs, he might return to England in the future.

Salman Butt thanks the crowd, his young side and all the supporters back home who haven't had the chance to see the team. He says that if this young side can perform like this under these conditions they could go on to become world beaters. He might be right as well. I'll say it again, Salman Butt is an awfully suave fellow - reminiscent, actually, of a certain Imran Khan.

Hugely entertaining match which finished with a hugely entertaining morning, to try and get a flavour of it all check out Andrew Miller's bulletin. That will be all from me today, Pakistan are back in action soon, beginning their four-Test series against England at Trent Bridge on Thursday, so I hope you'll join us then. If this game was anything to go by, it will be an absolute cracker.

Shoaib Malik must be replaced by Yasser Hameed and Umar Amin needs to play a little down the order. Rest of the batting looks pretty decent given the lack of senior batsmen in the team!

"The middle order has promise but nowhere through the two Tests has it been sturdy enough for Test cricket. It needs the kind of mentoring Inzamam-ul-Haq's presence in the middle provided earlier this decade to both Yousuf and Younis"

its payback time for Younis and Yousuf which is missing and my point!

Faisal Iqbal, Yasir Hamid, Taufeeq Umer, Hassan Raza and many more should be given preference over Younis Khan and Mohammad Yousuf becoz they have time but at this time I feel the current team is very much ok. We should not forget that his team has given us a victory against Australia which we were waiting for 15 years.

well thanx for letting me know my mistake anyway i cannot understand double standards if malik can play why not younis who has 50 percent average and he is a team man we need experience atleast one solid batsman in middle we need to guide these young guns how to coop preasure

A big mistake
it will be lot of fun
but hope our team perform well

All the above names are tried and tested failures...except for may be Yasir and Taufeeq who might have something left in the tank.
