Thirty Chinese migrants were found at sea by the Colombian Navy on July 4, 2023, highlighting a growing trend in the number of Chinese citizens trying to flee China and enter the US, according to Panamanian data. Three Colombian nationals were detained after being brought to land for illegally transporting the Chinese migrants across Panama through the dangerous Darién Gap, a crossing made by hundreds of thousands of migrants every year in order to get to the US through its border with Mexico.

Fake news.

China stronk. No Chinese want to leave China. In fact, many whites want to settle in China (someone please share the YouTube videos about it).

I will believe it only when Xi himself confirms it because I’m high IQ guy.

You rats should be the last ones joking; just as the Chinese line up the southern border, you roaches aren't far behind.

People running to greener pastures/better life is understandable but trying to run away to an enemy country is sad, shows things back home are real bad

I used to believe such news. But after watching a recent documentary on Youtube about South American illegal immigration and suddenly a Chinese guy appeared among them, trekking from Colombia to Guatemala, going through a dangerous mountain alone with other South American, and the documentary team could easily interview him in Mandarin and he started badmouthing China (In Mandarin too), Everyone with a sound mind would easily understand that the Chinese guy did not exist and all were just planned and arranged by the US documentary team in advance.

So can be said about similar news on Chinese immigrants. Probably those are the results of the last year? $500 millions approved to spend for anti-China news by the US Congress.

Similar news will appear again with higher frequency in the future. And with 500 millions, they can employ thousands of Chinese/Vietnamese American to play/act as Chinese immigrants.

And I do not say there is absolutely no Chinese who still want to immigrate illegally to the US.

There are thousands of Chinese arrested at the US border every month. They also do come ashore by smugglers boats. Here is one from a few months ago.

Or do you think these are Vietnamese boat refugees again part2?

Here you can see those captured at the border

People are fleeing China to the US at a rate higher than previous years.

I lived in the UK for a while and I know the quality of news from such trashy channels. If these are real, probably all BBC, CNN, DW News (although they are no longer reliable especially on any China-related issues, but at least they still try to show that they are reliable) will flood their channels non-stop for days about it. But they are refraining from doing so, because they know such news are just fake.

Even some minor, localized conflict in a remote corner of China can be exploited to badmouth China and you believe CNN, BBC or DW will not care about such lilegal issue, if they are real.

Thousands per month mean around 20 - 30000 per year. Do you really believe such trash?

Do you believe people fled from Vietnam to the US/Canada by boat in the past? Were BBC/DW/Xinhua reporters camping on US beaches or out in the ocean with coast guard vessels in the 1970s capturing the moments? Yeah right. Dream on.

Sorry these people are all liars i guess

You are comparing the incomparables. In the past, Vietnamese was very poor and there was no tourism. The only way to flee was by boat.

Now, anyone who wants to go illegally to a country to work (mostly from poor North Central region, including Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri provinces) like to South Korea, would buy an air ticket with tourist visa to Korea. After reaching South Korea airport, they will simply disappear. Same with people who want to go to Russia. Those killed in truck accident to the UK 2 years ago were Vietnamese who already lived in Europe, not from Vietnam.

Why Chinese, who are much richer than Vietnamese, wanting to immigrate illegally to the US is still a big question. Chinese tourists are welcomed everywhere. If someone wants to immigrate to the US illegally, there are certainly easier ways to do, rather than flying to South America as a tourist, then trekking illegally via Colombia, Guatemala and Mexico without speaking either Spanish or English (If they can speak any, they are already needed in China).

@beijingwalker Come on, Beijing boy. Tell us that China is NO.1 in the world. Everyone loves China.

Chinese nationals need a travel visa to get into the US. The ones that successfully do get one do your route and simply overstay. However many can’t pass the visa requirements and in desperation have to figure out another way to get in. These are the ones that you see hiking through jungles or being thrown out of speed boats. They cross the border and many get picked up by car by relatives who were able to previously get in.

ChatGPT answers:

There are various reasons why Chinese nationals, like citizens of any other country, might be denied a travel visa to the United States. Some common reasons include:

1. Inadequate documentation: If the applicant fails to provide the required documents or sufficient evidence to support their travel purpose, the visa application may be denied.
2. Lack of ties to home country: If the consular officer believes that the applicant does not have strong ties to their home country, such as a stable job, family, or property, they may see the applicant as a potential risk for overstaying their visa in the US.
3. Previous visa violations: A history of visa violations or previous overstays in the US can negatively impact a new visa application.
4. Criminal record: Applicants with certain criminal convictions or who are deemed to pose a security risk may be denied a visa.
5. Ineligibility for the chosen visa category: If the applicant does not meet the specific requirements for the visa category they are applying for, their application may be denied.
6. Insufficient financial means: The applicant must demonstrate that they have enough financial resources to cover their travel expenses while in the US. If the consular officer deems their financial situation inadequate, it may lead to a visa denial.
7. Providing false information: Any misrepresentation or providing false information on the visa application can result in a visa denial.

It’s important to note that visa decisions are made on a case-by-case basis, and the final decision rests with the consular officer reviewing the application. If an applicant is denied a visa, they should receive a written explanation stating the reason for the denial, and they may be able to reapply if their circumstances change or they can address the issues that led to the initial denial.

First US is an immigration country belonging to every one and no one, and US is a lawless land attractig futives and addicts aroud the world. China doesn't allow immigrants but China now is the top country to attract global talents, this is what really matters to a country.

Lol! China belongs to everyone and no one too!
I declare it right now for everybody..

Are you allowing that top talent to be top managers in your companies too..because if you are not that sounds like a hollow future for these people of having an impenetrable ceiling due to well-known and widespread Chinese distrust/racism of foreigners.

Your hyperbole does not match reality. Unless your idea of “top talent” is somebody who is only interested in being some lowly lab technician all their life…or even more likely the “brain drain” is mostly Chinese nationals who aren’t even US citizens.

Somehow Chinese nationals that are in the US are not considered a brain drain for China.:cuckoo:
