In west she can sue and get compensated. Birmingham met college had to reverse the decision within days due to outcry.
Birmingham college reverses decision to ban Muslim face veils after protests | World news | The Guardian

In any case they did not have to say 'people like you go to other unis'. They could have just taken interview and rejected her. There are anti discrimination laws just for these things.

Hi,

But in France it may not happen.

Over here---as both are muslims---it may not happen.

And you are right about your second para----. They did not have to patronize her----. The answer should have been simple----this is our requirement---you have to meet these requirements.

Their comments were not well thought of.

Face-veil phobia then? But Muslim women are required to wear a veil. So its Islamophobic right? If it happened in the west we shout Islamophobia? Why not do the same for Pakistan?

Muslim women arent required to wear a veil. They are only required to cover their hair.

having a cosmopolitan and progressive society is her right, and not some veil-sheil.

What does a veil have to do with a "progressive society"; Bangladesh has put restrictions on Veil, and even beards and now its catching up to India on being a rape and prostitution capital of the world.

Wearing a burqa is compulsory for muslim women. Growing a beard(without a mustache much better) is compulsory for Muslim men.

You want a murtad who worships socialists and socialism to stone me to death. Height of hypocrisy.

Are you serious...? Covering hair is compulsory not head; a beard is sunnah; not compulsory.

What's you're interpretation? The sufi one. Are you a follower of those opium smoking and wine drinking sufi babas who chased every skirt they came across.

Real Islam isn't what they show in Bollywood movies.

Why don't you do your own search and work out what real Islam is? Isn't that the whole point of your life? Or you prefer the shortcut explanation of some youtube 'sheikh'?

Ohooooooo

U didnt get when i wrote ,'i think u hav issue with face veil,i read u said earlier u have no issue with burqa'

I was saying u only have issue with face veil not burqa. And its not face veil that wud look like sack(as u used the word sack earlier) its burqa and that too depends on the kind of burqa one is wearing. Not all burqas are sack like, iduno but i have seen some shirt like burqas.

Its just that wht i was saying. As i said they were some thoughts that crossed my mind and i shared. Nothing else. I wasnt saying in patronizing manner that 'u have issue with face veil'. I know u dont like it.

As of face veil thing i think its personal choice. And if unis and other places have such code where one cant wear then it is one thing otherwise i see no point in criticizing someone for that. Ther lives their choices.
Those who cover their face are just as paranoid about rest of their body so it is common to see such females wrapped in bolts of cloths from head to toe hence the expression 'sac'.

Secondly, I do respect people's choice but one is not allowed to wear anything in the name of choice. Then those who are wearing least amounts of clothes should also be accommodated just as willingly as those who wrap themselves in sacs. There are a number of things that are dictated by the society unless some one choses to live in a Jungle and then exercises his/her personal choices unabated.

Lastly, she cried that it is Islamic republic of Pakistan so she must be allowed to cover her face as it is Islamic outfit. Morons like her should learn about Islam first and get to know exactly what Islam is requiring them to do. Covering face is not in Mohamed's (PBUH) Islam at-least so her argument is wrong. Say that I am wearing it according to my local culture or custom but do not associate it with Islam.

can you translate the poetry to english pls?

My slaam to sufi and mullah
For we have received the message of Allah through them
However, their arguments and interpretations?
Even Allah, Gabriel and Mustafa (PBUH) are amazed as to what is being associated with them

Covering face is HAZRAT MUHAMMAD SAW Islam and clear order in Qur'an and Sunnah and was followed by all women in time of RASOOL SAW and in 4 Caliphs and followed till this day by vast majority of women. Yes and Iqbal also blasted those who follow culture of kufar and also said you can prosper even with your Niqab and beard. @Shamain @Jf Thunder

This is what is told to you by semi -literate mullah. This is not your fault.

There is another wonderful verse by Iqbal for people like you:

O' Muslim, you are in shackles of Sufi and Mullah
You do not learn from the wisdom of Quran

You have no more concern with Quran
Except that you'll die easily while listening to Yasin

There is a clear cut verse of quran that asks for covering of hair and wearing modest clothes...covering face is not mentioned in that aayya...
A clear order in quran takes precedence on all other evidence.....
So most people would not regard as face veil as necessary..

This what Quran and Sunnah tells me but enemies of Islam always attack orders of Quran and Sunnah so nothing new from you. @Shamain

Covering face is clear order of Quran and Sunnah your understanding is due to lack of knowledge of Arabic and when Surah Ahzab ayat came no women used to go out without covering her face

Allah par bohtan mat bandh. Sudhar jaa Zarvan. Nowhere in surah al-Ahzab does Allah talk about covering face. 'Jilbab' means shirt, not some head covering. Go and ask any native Arabic speaker.

You are the one lying and doing Bhutan. ALLAH does talk about covering face and that is after this Ayat every women when used to go out of housed used to cover her entire body including face. I have several of them and all say this ayat is for covering face. Even those who say covering face is not compulsory don't deny this ayat is for covering face they just say this ayat was for only that time but they are very small minority

Show me one word that qualifies for covering face. Don't bring to me ahadith, only Quranic ayah.

Read that ayat that ayat tells to cover face can't do anything about your lack of Arabic knowledge

O Bhai, you are a human or a semi literate mullah robot. I am asking you to show me one word that qualifies for covering face and you are asking me to read. How much more idiot and stone headed one can be? The word used in surah al Ahzab is 'Jalabib', plural of the word 'Jilbab' that means tunic or shirt. Do you see no difference between a shirt and a veil or any damn thing that could be used to cover the face? You think Allah could not use exact word and exact phrase to order Muslim women for covering face? He had to speak in ambiguous way so that semi literate mullah would explain his orders to us?

Pay attention to these words by Allama Iqbal. Quran tou timhein kuch samjha sikha nahin saka (because you are oblivious of Arabic) shayed Kalam e Iqbal sey kuch fayeda ho. Though Persian is also not your domain.

The word used means Ghungat and whole ayat has two three words together which refers to covering face basically a huge cloth which is put on face to hide it. Even those who say covering face is not compulsory don't deny that this ayat is for covering face their only argument is that this order is only for time of RASOOL SAW and I am not going in details because I have to quote Quran and Ayat and other details which is not allowed on forum @Horus @Irfan Baloch @waz Story is not confirmed so close the thread

@ zarvan ...
Surah al ahzaab verse 59...
Yes after this ayat every women in time of RASOOL SAW and 4 Caliphs never used to go out of house without covering face
