Every Pakistani is a king. Hence royal
ok

can it fight new tanks and has it been modernised or upgraded?

It's very easy to know about a tank. Before testing it for fire power, firstly fire an RPG on the tank and see how tank armour behaves. if it can sustain it, then modernize other components.
Al-zarrar and rpg doesnt have a good relation.
I hope Al zarrar's armour has improved.

Al-Khalid should be produced in mass numbers to replace Al-Zarrar. Al-Zarrar can be either stored to be used as a backup in wartime scenario in order to cover for battle losses or it can be deployed on western front. For eastern front in the face of T90s, only Al-Khalid and Al-Haider(whichever it ends up being) should serve as a high/low combo.

Al-Zarrar survivability has been proven in battle.

Tank was immobilized but armor was not penetrated by RPGs or suicide waves, thanks to it's hollow armor layer at the front. Crew survived, later repaired and back in service.

"It was ambushed from three sides of the mountainous road and has to face at least six suicide attack attempts within span of 15 minutes along with attacks through improvised explosive devices that were buried in their way. Crew of the destroyed Al-Zarrar MBT survived without injuries and tank was recovered as neither turret of chassis of Al-Zarrar MBT was penetrated which also proved the recent upgrade was successful.

Because of the magnitude of this attack, one can easily describe it as the largest suicide attack in Pakistan if not the largest in the world, mounted against a small force in such a limited time. This attack involved at least six different vehicles and three motor bikes filled with explosives and driven by suicide bombers within short span of time of only fifteen minutes. Pakistani soldiers first gave them warnings to stop as they thought these were civilian vehicles, but later on they recognized the threat in time and started firing at them, most of these vehicles were destroyed but due to high speed these did at front line vehicles of this small military force. According to the commanding officer of this advance force, they were very fortunate that none of their troop involved in this operation was killed and all thirty five of them were able to survive this attack."

Still would prefer to get rid of this dalda sheet tank.
