Army chief visits Vajra Corps in Punjab, reviews operational preparedness
Jalandhar, Aug 9 (PTI) Army Chief General Bikram Singh along with Western Army Commander Lt Gen Sanjeev Chachra today visited Vajra Corps to review the operational preparedness of the Corps, a defence statement said.
The Army Chief was briefed by the General Officer Commanding, Vajra Corps, Lt Gen Sanjeev Madhok. During his visit, General Singh interacted with other senior officers of the Vajra Corps, the statement said. A
ccording to statement, while addressing the Army officers in station, General Singh emphasised on requirement of maintaining the highest standards of operational preparedness and discipline.
He also emphasised on value based leadership, as per legacy of the Indian Army and the requirement of regular interaction with veterans to imbibe the rich ethos of predecessors.
