Bhoja Air Flight crashes on final approach to Islamabad Airport.

If this claim is confirmed, I would suggest that the relatives of the victims get together and file a lawsuit against the owners of Bhoja Air. Keep this lawsuit in media spotlight to make sure no one gets off by bribes.

Sue them for every last penny in their Pakistani and foreign assets.

Your lawsuit idea will lose its importance when there will be pressure on some active families to do "Muk Muka". I think you know this reality and we have lot of examples even in 2011. Well, courage of people may change this trend and i hope that people will stand on their step in court (Minimum chances).

very sad news indeed.....RIP the victims of the crash.

when such airlines are allowed to operate without a proper audit of safety and maintenance standards by the CAA, then such sad incidents are bound to happen. why wasnt the a/c diverted to pwe or lahore or lyallpur if the weather was bad. isnt it normal practice. PIA pilots have the on-board authority to take such decisions....did the bojha capt have this authority? probably not because such airlines cannot afford to divert their aircraft due to profit margins...so they play with people's lives!

A 30 year old plane...
The people responsible for managing Bhoja Airlines should be hanged immediately, and this company shut down.

I guess we will only learn when these crashes occur, but for some, it is already too late.
Stop jumping to early conclusions and calm down, shaheen has operated 737-200 too and it still does

Its Very Sad ., This flight seemed to be 40 years old as per the sources but why it was still in operation such flights should be allowed to fly, Same with Air INDIA most of the flights are 20-30 years old and still under operation.

May ALLAH grant Jannah for the departed souls .(INNALLAHI - WAINNA -ILLAIHI -RAJIOON)

That is not what windshear is.

Windshear is sudden, intense and unpredictable turbulence associated with a wide variety of conditions and is therefore not what you describe "downwind" as (perhaps you mean "downdraft"?). Modern aircraft now have Predictive Wind Shear (PWS) warning systems for this very reason. For planes without them, some conditions are red flags, such as:

Indicated airspeed variations in excess of 15 kts; Groundspeed variations; Vertical-speed excursions of 500 fpm or more; Pitch attitude excursions of five degrees or more; Glideslope deviation of one dot or more; Heading variations of 10 degrees or more; Unusual autothrottle activity or throttle lever position.

It requires an alert crew to avoid danger if these signs are present, singly or together in any combination.

Many airports will also have a ground based Low-level Wind Shear Alert System (LLWAS) too.

Different layers of wind flow in different altitude is windshear. An air speed of around 30 knots is significant windhsear for a commercial jet.

A plane was cleared to land a while before this one. But conditions reportedly took a turn for the worse after that, and ATC informed the pilot. Who took a risk to avoid fuel loss (being a low cost airline).

The planes structure might have been weakened as well considering it was 30 odd years ago and the poor maintenance records of the low cost airlines.

Yes, all captains have the final say on whether to land or not. ATC just informs the pilot, and once final clearance has ben given, the pilot is in charge.

The media minting it.

may the relatives who lost their loved ones find solace and strength. death is certain, but not with such indignity.

nationality is meaningless in the face of pure human tragedy.

total blame lies on the CAA which is ironically run by EX PAF men!!!!! clearly shows the corrupt air chiefs still eating away and fast tracking the decay of this nation!

How is this the fault of CAA???? and ex PAF men???

Come on now, just stop it already.

There was a guy whose father had just passed away ten days back, and he was going home.

Alot of tragic stories.

The response by rescue teams was good though, they promptly got on the scene, and had done most of the worked by night, bodies were recovered early, and a organized operation took place. proper equipment was given to the people, Rescue 1122 and USAR are the best thing to happen to the emergency services in Pakistan.

And there should be a media code of ethics, media guys going into houses of people, and asking stupid questions, like how do you feel like. Is that evena question, they would be feeling distraught. This is totally morally wrong to show people crying for their loved ones. And asking stupid questions and trying t fix the blame on officials without even knowing the basics of aviation.

CAA is regulatory authority i think..... Now don't try to put every incident on nature and forget

Yeah so what?

It is not the prime responsibility of CAA, alot of bodies are involved.

Terrible and sad. There is just something about an air crash that hits a person deep inside and makes one realise how vulnerable we are.

I was really shaken up cause coincidentally I too was flying at exactly the same time yesterday, returning home from Bangalore.

The weather was really bad and the flight choppy, and on the approach to Pune, there was some really bad turbulence due to the heavy clouds and pre-monsoon rains.

As it happens, that balls in mouth moment was exactly when the Bhoja flight went down. Creepy.

RIP to all who perished and our prayers for their families.

How is CAA at fault here? Stop being ignorant and blaming everything on CAA
