What's new

Brig (retd) Ijaz Shah has been appointed as Minister of Interior

Bugti was not taken out. We lost PA officers and PA officers are not suicide bombers!
Yeah, the insurgents inside blew up the cave compound, killing 3 SSG officers and many more.

We Lost a Commanding Officer of LT.COL rank , his 2IC ( two majors), Three Team Leaders ( Captains) and around 30 SSG operators. It was one of the biggest loss SSG faced, majority of 2 commando leadership perished along with 25-30 operators on that faithful day.

We lost good men and continue to loss good man in Balochistan due to one of the worst decisions of Generals who decided to eliminate Bugti.

She was apprehended in Karachi by Pakistani agencies.
That’s interesting - what I’ve read is that she was arrested in Afghanistan (and extradited to the US) after firing on US personnel while in custody.

A man with such experience is the right choice to handle affairs of Interior Ministry in these times where hostile are continuously attempting to harm & supporting terrorism. Military back ground & Intel services, will definitely be utilized for better security & above all, implementing NAP when person like him can understand security domain very well.

She is a Pakistani citizen who was abducted from the streets of Karachi, along with her children, by Pakistani agencies on orders of General Musharraf, and handed over to a foreign agency. The incident that you described happened much later.

Middle fingers to All those opposing him as interior minister. Aisy log Bs Zaatiyat per kichar ouchalty hain lakin problems ka haal nhi batatay hain, bekaar loog

Pehli baat tuo ye hai k abhi tak koe decision nhi howa is mamlay per, lakin agr ho bhi jae tuo bhi Ijaz shah is right choice for Pakistan.

Been reading up on her today, and I can’t find anything concrete indicating she was secretly arrested in Karachi and then secretly handed over to the US who then held her secretly captive for 5 years before, apparently, plotting some fantastic scheme to make it look like she was arrested (with bomb making & other terrorist paraphernalia) in Afghanistan, subsequently attacked US interrogators and was then ‘officially’ taken into US custody and extradited to the US.

A notoriously violent & oppressive Sardar? No thanks. Pakistan lost nothing with his death (talking specifically about him - obviously the deaths of the brave soldiers trying to arrest him is an unfathomable loss).

Perfect man for the job. Lets hope he does the required.
