China's new launch rocket

The ancient India still is a City-state system country. So British only 3,000 soldiers to conquer India.

Chinese people's national consciousness, it does not need to prove.
Do you know what Chinatown is?

Do you know what Chinatown is?

Yep I know what a Chinatown is... it is formed by people who came to a foreign land but still live within their own little world. Why come to a foreign land after all?

Country like Singapore is definitely not Chinese, even with 3/4 of their population is Chinese.

Historically, the land where they live now didn't belong to China. We are not reckless of claiming that everything belongs to us. We are not those annoying Koreans.

China is too poor, too many people...

Do you know what those are? Those are the bronze statue. Their names are: Qin Hui, Wang, Wan Sixie, etc...
They betrayed the Chinese people, so Chinese people let them(bronze statue) to kneel on the edge of the Yangtze River to atone.
They have kneeling over 1,000 years, and them will continue to kneel down until the Chinese people demise.
Until now, many Chinese people still do not want to marry and their descendants(Man surnamed Qin).

Yes. India has great historical! I pay tribute to the ancient Indian civilization.

But I think that India has never been truly unified before the British invasion.
Perhaps the ancient Indians have a common king, but you still is a City-state system country.
You have no common language and text and custom etc... Even city-states often war with each other!

Ancient India like Greece and Zhou Dynasty(China 1046 BC - 256 BC).

Need not pay tribute to present day Indians on acient Indian civilization. The Hindus Valley Civilization was situated in modern Pakistan, not India.

You were correct in that India was not united before the British invasion. In fact, India had been united under foreign powers for over twice as long as Indians had ruled the land themselves. The Maryans were ancient and ruled India for 137 years while the mongols (not even the real ones, but offshoots) and Britain had ruled the same region for over 3 centuries.

There's not much to be proud of in Indian history, except the myriad of foreign occupations, fragmentation and the exportation of slaves and a religious tool -- "buddhism" which aided authoritarian states in their objective of ideological repression. The collection of Indian tales are even as we speak, declining in popularity due to the renaissance of Chinese Daosim and the ever expanding christianity. People just don't want to consort with anything Indian.

But then again, we're talking about Indians here. They are capable of surpassing China in space with defected and exploding rockets.

PS: If India does not copy from foreign countries, it is effectively inventing all of its technologies. I didn't know India had the prowess to re-invent modern science.

Also, the current Ares V program does not look good. Obama is planing to cancle it due to recession. So it will be set back for 5 to 8 years. :(
Ares V program will not be restarted for at least 20 years. Within the next 5 years, probably sooner, the US will undergo a financial implosion and make today's budget problems look like the good times.

On rocket:

Qian was not a Chinese spy, but a quite pro-American scholar.

Qian, at his time in teh US, was at least amongst top 5 leading scientists (not in a particular order) in America, most likely also in the world, on rocket.

Qian, though very young at a time, was the protégé of the # 1 authority of American rocket, Theodor von Karman – actually a German American.

The evaluation of von Karman to Qian was only one phrase “A pure genius ! ”

It was under this ultra-elite reputation when Qian was dispatched by US govt as an army Colonel to lead a team to investigate/ interview ( or WWII style water-boarding if you like) Wernher von Braun, the Numero Uno in the world at a time, at least in practise, and his right hand man Rudolph Hermann.

It was then a comical scene arised that “Representing USA, The Father of Future Chinese Space Program was “water-boarding” The Father of current German Space Program , who moved on to become The father of American Space Program soon after”.

Two out of many less known ( perhaps due to “his communist connection” censorship) yet key contributions that Qian had to the cutting edge rocket technologies in the world were:

1, Qian was largely responsible for laying theoritical framework of Supersonic Flow theory - the Grandpa of modern Supersonic Cruise *blink blink* :

USA didn’t have right wind tunnels to confirm it at a time. Yet Wernher von Braun had it in Nazi Germany to thave tested and confirmed Qian’s theory, partially based on which the legendary V2 rocket and prehaps more imporantly von Braun's space travel design was born - this rarely-known “surprise” has been confirmed by von Braun’s right hand man Rudolph Hermann – we knew it later through declassified documents.

2, Qian was the Father of Delta Winged Space Plane, or the Father of modern space shuttle. Qian’s key contributions in laying the theoretical foundation in the area earned him a nickname in USA of “the Father of the Dyna-Soar” which with time gradually envolved into modern day space shuttles.

From above points of view, it could be described, perhaps without exaggerations, that Qian’s (or future China’s) knowledge on rockery was at the forefront of the world at a time, more or less on par with the best Germany and America had to offer.

So there is no surprise that even China was about a decade late into rocket research after Qian’s return, China’s Space Program could still catch up rapidly as the top 3 in the world without key outside assistances (China didn’t need it with legendary Qian on board, and core part of Qian’s expertise has been equally based on both leading German/American know-how and his own genius as I showed above), if you ignore European Space Program at a time.

Therefore it’s lunatic to bring India into this elite group comparison. Not then, not now, not in the future - this is even before ushering in my favourite 2-letter concept for which I know you guys are too excited to wait.

Where was India back then ? Sorry, “India” even didn’t exist back then , it was British Raj, an overseas colony of Britain.

This is the reason why so few nations have good rockets. USA(Top notch Saturn V). Russia #2. China #3.

Advanced nations like Japan, Germany, France do not build rockets!. This only shows that how little civilian tech can be applied to Rocketry! Only millitary and space angencies uses rockets!
Actually, Japan has quite an advanced rocket industry. It's H-2B rocket can lift 19 tonnes into LEO.

H-IIB - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

France is the country that pushed for Arianespace to be created, which together as a European consortium created the Ariane line of rockets, including the Ariane-5 rocket which can lift 21 tonnes into LEO.

English and Hindi is the national language dude in India and most states share similar culture with each other but with unique features of their own. Sanskrit is our old written language which in fact is mother to greek and latin.

There are many customs in India i give you one example 'Namaste' is one and 99% of Indians understand the word and the meaning of it.
You mean there is 1% of Indian population that doesn't understand the word "Namaste"? Ha ha you call yourself a country??

come on, back off india. this thread has nothing to do with india. let's just talk about rockets ok?

China's Missile Imports and Assistance From Abroad

Although China now produces most of its missiles indigenously, it receives missile-related imports and assistance from a number of other countries. Although China has imported some complete systems, such as SAMs and certain other systems from Russia, China's emphasis in missile-related imports has been on expertise and technology, particularly technology that will facilitate indigenous production, which China strongly prefers to off-the-shelf buys. China's highest priority is technologies to improve the accuracy, stealth, fuel efficiency, and miniaturization of rocket systems.

For additional in-depth information on open-source reports of Chinese imports and assistance from abroad, please consult the CNS Missile Abstracts database.

Fyi, off the top of my head, I'm aware that a good chunk of these allegations were only allegations and accusations. Although some were legitimate arms sales and some were legitimate technical exchanges, which happens all over the world nowadays, much were politically motivated allegations within the USA which spread and eventually were accepted as truth through their repetition over the years. Look up the "Cox Report" and you will find much of what you quoted as being debunked scaremongering or spurious rationalizations by right-wing American conservatives.

During the 1950s, Qian Xuesen, who was a Chinese citizen living in America and co-founder of the JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory), was interrogated and labeled a communist during the American McCarthyism period. He was deported back to China and subsequently became China's father of space technology. It was this man's pioneering space credentials as a founder of America's leading space research institute in the 1940s that is the core of China's space technology origins in the 1950s. The Soviet Union only agreed to provide technology transfer for the R-2 rocket, (V2 rocket derivative) in December 1957. Qian Xuesen like his JPL co-founders already had rocketry knowledge far beyond the German V2 rocket and had already begun training China's first generation of aeronautics specialists. The R2 rocket accelerated production but it was not some lynchpin as you suggested because the R2 technology was already inferior to what Qian Xuesen was teaching China's first generation space technologists.

Qian was not merely deported. He was exchanged for US pilots captured in the Korean War. He was not allowed to work on the applied aspects of missiles, only on theoretical aerodynamics. But these gave him the foundation necessary to build missiles.

It is necessary to create high performance boosters for a rocket to be carry 20-25 tonne payload. Is there any requirement in increasing the performance of Cryogenic engine too. ?.
