The average age of the dead cases was 80.3 years old, and 90.1% were 65 years old and above, of which 56.5% were 80 years old and above. More than 90% of the cases were combined with basic diseases, mainly cardiovascular diseases, advanced tumors, cerebrovascular diseases, respiratory diseases, metabolic diseases and renal insufficiency.
Jiao Yahui emphasized that because winter itself is the season of high incidence of respiratory diseases and aggravation of basic cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in the elderly, and it has recently been superimposed with factors such as the new coronavirus infection, the number of deaths of the elderly is relatively high, which also reminds us to be more careful. Pay attention to elderly patients and do our best to save patients' lives.
