What's new

Clueless on China

Backstab what backstab....who the fck asked Nehru to poke his nose into disputed territory. I know who is at fault when the Indian govt hides the war files 40 years after the war.

If anything Nehru should have been tried as a war criminal in India for reducing the Indian defense budget for years and then ordering the army into risky combat situations. Easy for him to rant in Delhi while the solders fought in sub-zero temp with poor equipment.

If you want to know how the Indian army really feels about Nehru you should talk to some retired officers from that era. They don't hold any bitterness towards the Chinese but they detest Nehru for what he made them do.

Claiming indian land after taking Tibet, and before that not claiming Indian land(bad intentions)...
it is backstabbing to win India trust while taking Tibet and then later chaninging colours and asking for Indian lands also...
claiming Indian land ,attacking India, illegallly occupying Akshaichin, parts of Kashmir is backstabbing...
what more..??
and what India has done in comparison to above..??

what India has done in comparison to above..??

Claiming chinese lands including parts of Tibet and Kashmir
claiming land based on a treaty that was never legal and now renounced by Briton
implementing the forward policy which saw india maneuver behind chinese forces which when on for a while and even includes stationing troop within undisputed chinese territory
it is backstabbing to cry India-china friendship while surrounding chinese forces and even stationing in undisputed chinese lands
also...
claiming chinese and pakistani land ,invading china(by station troops in undisputed lands), illegallly occupying southern tibet, parts of Kashmir is backstabbing...
what more..??

he didnt realise that the CHinese will backstab..surely his mistake... but he paid the price for trusting the chinese/ not understanding the real chinese intentions...

he miscalculated and didnt realize that china isnt a push-over and will stand up for it self. he paid the price for singing friendship on one hand and invading the same "friend" on the other when the friend realized what india's real intentions were

Tibet is always part of China. Look at the map from British (neutral sources) in 1950s. AP is a disputed land in Britsh era! This is a legacy left behind to current India.

As for AP, we had captured it in 1962 but returned to India without any condition. If you are China, will you do that if you win the war in 1962?

I think we should let go of this word "backstab" when discussing 1962 war.It way too obsolete now,we shouldn't blame the Chinese for exploiting our miscalculations and mistakes.

For us Indian citizens, the word backstab applies because we didn't know what was going on.

But not for Nehru,he knew perfectly what he was doing, his inability to predict the consequences can be attributed to his stupidity.

Chinese military response is no surprise, especially when Indian troops were sent into disputed territory, especially the one administered by China.

The bottom line:India lost, not just the war,but also a very important potential ally.

your welcome i would gladly prove india is the true backstabber and it version of the war is twist beyond belief any day

here from the CIA

all about how it was near impossible to negotiate with india at the time(including insulting the chinese at many occasions) and the indian moves north of the McMahon Line. also including many chinese warning prior to war stating the china would not stand by passively while india continues to moves its forces north. every step of the way china tried diplomacy and india repeatably ignored warnings and continued its aggressive actions until beijing had to take action

also dont claim that this is chinese properganda, the CIA dont work for china

The only people backstabed was the Indian army and people and not by the Chinese. Nehru backstabed them.

yes surely India lost.I am not saying its not so. Its our own govt mistake not to see through the Chinese schemes.

But chinese played game with India, that also is true. its they who are responsible for 1962 and bad relations. It is they who had and have bad intentions. THis is just what i mean to convey.

U r proving to be a chinese(maybe of US origin but chinese) very quickly.
India did commit mistake in not realising Chinese designs. Nehru didnt backstab indian army. the Indian govt commited a mistake in not seeing the chinese intentions. true.
