Foxbat over Pakistan the facts & fiction

Oh my GOD

I was replying to a question that

Why did not an Indian Mig 29 engage a PAF F 16

The answer is WHY would it do so if PAF F 16 was well within Pakistani territory

Secondly IAF Mig 29s were only escorting the Bombers who THEMSELVES were within
Indian Territory

So what is the problem if MIG 29 locks on an F 16 ; just in case the F 16 attacks the Mirage 2000

Indian planes were flying parallel to the LOC

Which still does not make flying 10 miles inside Pakistani airspace some achievement.

Neither the Mig 29s nor the Mirage 2000s intruded inside Pakistani terrotory

The locking was an act of pre emtive self defence so that Mirages would not be attacked
by the F 16s which were in the same area

You just said they did for 10 miles.

Thanks for writing a book. Bottom line, if you listen to Mr. Trump, he wants the NATO to "pay up" for the security umbrella. In other words, if the Swedes fires a missile at a US jet (not seeing this happen, but just a scenario, very unlikely), then the US won't care about the NATO. First there would be some diplomatic talks, worst case, you might lose the base where the jet flew from. The standard operating procedure.

Is this a recurrent theme, that people write books in reply to your simplest posts?

When I said " They " were flying -- I meant F 16s ; not the Indian planes

Indian planes were not authorised to cross over
So if the F-16s were flying 10 miles in our territory which they were supposed to be doing, and the Indian planes were inside Indian territory which they were supposed to be doing.. and the radar's on both planes is capable of lock beyond 20 miles. What achievement are we trying to beat about?

Give me some time ; I would go back several pages and see what were we discussing

I dont remember it entirely

You think your post is worth responding to? I am not here for gossip. When you have something factual to discuss, include me and I'll respond. Otherwise, peace out!

2 Dropped some 2000 Tons of Bombs ; LOCKED on to your F 16 and made them turn back

@Oscar This is my original post where some Pakistani members were talking of 2 IAF planes shot down

So I retorted that what happened later is more relevant

And then I stated that IAF Locked on to F 16 to PREVENT them from Intervening
while we were bombing the Pakistani positions

So another of your compatriot said that if IAF had really locked on to An F 16
they would have fired on it ; why didnt they do it

So I said there was NO need because the F 16 were well within Pakistani terriitory

Just the Radar lock was enough deterrent

The idea was to prevent an F 16 from attacking our planes WHILE they were doing their job

As you also know from Kaiser Tufail's blog that after IAF entered the fray
PAF also had to do so

And since IAF was expecting this they specifically used MiG 29 for CAP roles

Pakistan Army on the Other hand was expecting PAF to blow out our planes
which they refused as per Kaiser Tufail

But we have come to know that only later

While the conflict was on we had to take precautions from our side

Hence Mig 29s locked on to F 16 s

Sorry, no, it's not worth responding to. Noted: you're not here for gossip.

It is not clear what you are here for, but it's not for gossip. Your facts seem to be a little rickety, but those facts, feeble as they are, are certainly not gossip. Consider yourself included out, and released from any obligation to respond. You probably will want all your time to assemble responses to Richelieu and hellfire , with little help from the facts..

Then the "compatriot"(look up the definition before using that) should have known that Radar locks are also used to deter aggression. The only reason this radar lock is known about is because Grp Capt Cecil talked about it. Many a times radar locks have occurred on violation aircraft from both sides at tense times and it is a game of cat and mouse played.

A radar lock DOES NOT GUARANTEE a kill.

Nor does the Mig-29 have any "special" configuration for CAP role. The only retrofit the IAF did was an attempt at fitting a jammer from Israel that did not work out well since it started jamming the IAF's own radars as well(although that was a programming issue rather than an actual technical fault). This you wont hear about because its was not printed in any journal or some officer spoke about it.

Please do understand that the armed forces of both countries arent even 1/20th as cocky and stupid in their assesements as many fanboys here are. They value objectives and arent prone to needless risks unless neccecary (exceptions do exist).

Take ACdre Kaiser Tufail's needless pushing of the F-16 to beyond its safe envelope. That is not recommended and regardless of his skills put himself and his aircraft in danger.

No comment. Again, gossipy posts aren't welcome from my end. Thank you :enjoy:

The person for whom I used the word Compatriot uses Both US flags but
his posts are pro Pakistani ( like Viper 0011 )

So I presumed him to be a Non resident Pakistani
