Hatf 5 missile test fired successfully

It's heartening to note how desperate our Indian neighbours are to prove this test as a failure.....their cheap banter shows the inner pain and hate.....pity the air heads are incapable to prove their claims.
Albeit, we are talking about rockets but it's not exactly rocket science to work out that the missile was test fired at around 7.00AM
on that Wednesday morning to strike it's target within about 20 minutes after launch. The debris from the rocket motor fell some TEN HOURS LATER, in the area which was in line with the trajectory path and close to the designated target area.
Had the missile disintegrated during it's flightpath, the debris would have rained down immediately.....!!
Obviously as planned and required, the rocket motor separated from the war head....floated around in space for several hours before entering Earth's atmosphere and breaking up..... Now is that too difficult to understand.!!!

It was a complete success... we know...we read the ISPR release..

If this is true then I will bang my head on corner stone...

And a decade later we are learning about the Pokhran fizzle out.
The test launch was neither pre-announced nor was it being beamed alive.
Had it been a failure, the authorities would have found out within the hour......hence there was no need to even disclose it.

mamu ... bhadak kyu raha hai... I do agree on 100% sucess of every pakistani test... I aint disputing it...

Sir this explanation is totally absurd. I'd rather agree with what @Black Widow said in the other thread:

The Control system lies near payload (RV). So its normal that it seperates form RV at last stage... See the location of Control system

the only thing to be asked is
Is the debris fall in correct place (Missile didn't deviated from flight path)?

If answer is yes, then the test was successful else ....

It seems that the missile did deviate a little from its path, so that the control system being mentioned here (Flight Control Computer + Course Correction System) landed in populated area instead of doing so in barren land.

 talk about rocket science .... Your contention is that the debris floated in outer space for 10 hours and still stayed confined to the flight path area ... ??? Really ???

Actually, I am waiting for confirmation from DRDO. ;)

Confirmation from the chief scientific aid to the prime minister, former president of India, also a successful virtuous highly accomplished scientist and muslim citizen of India ka confirmation chalega kya??

pretty strrong credentials (and no arrests for proliferation) ;)

He's being sarcastic!

In the general vicinity.....designated target area being in Baluchistan.....where as Dadu, where the debris fell lies on the border with Baluchistan's barren scape area. Ha....Ha....Ha. !!

I didn't quite get this part. For ten hours the rocket motor remained stationary w.r.t Earth while still being in orbit? And then you further have to account for the velocity of the rocket motor itself at the time it separated and many other factors.

Because it is lame! The motor never leaves the atmosphere, it hardly climbs 50 km. It is the guidance system which should be the subject of discussion, which separates before the terminal phase.
