Helicopter for PNS Alamghir

Pakistan Should go for the American Helicopter and also should try to get other 5 Oliver Hazard Class Frigates

it is not economically feasible to buy just 1 NH-90 for just 1 ship, so it wont happen

addition Z9C would be a good or wait a little and get the Chinese 7 ton Z15 ~2015
sir we r talking about replacement for old sea kings

guys to be frank<<<<<<<<<<,many say that sea king operates from PNS alamgir................but guy let me tell u that PNS alamgir,s hanger in small so cant accomodate bigger helies............i personally went to the ship and there were only one Z9ec,that is most likely to be the future heli of pakistan navy,,for multirole perposes.........

The long-hull ships (FFG 8, 28, 29, 32, 33, and 36-61) carry the larger SH-60 Seahawk LAMPS III helicopters, while the short-hulled warships carry the smaller and less-capable SH-2 Seasprite LAMPS I. PNS Alamgir is a long-hull ship, designed to carry 2x1 SH-60 LAMPS III helicopters. The dimenstion of the SH-60 Sea Hawk don't differ much from that of SH-3 Sea King. Z-9 is clearly smaller than both Sh-60 and SH-3. Both SH-3 and SH-60 have folding main rotor blades as well as a folding tail. IIRC, Z-9C only has folding main rotor.

it was shocking to lern from a frind that Z9 Sea king both were no where near the neh sea hawks and thats y PN have a whole team looking in to NH90 which is IMO way out of our price tag but another candidate PN have is a chinese heli and its not Z9 that was also weard to hear.

i think AW wild cat can be a better option .

augusta/westland AW139 is offering a ASW version which is still in the development stage. it could be an interesting choice as PA already operates 4-6 AW139 in the VIP/SAR role.

But although the flying characteristics are same, the equipment on board is different, so might not be a seamless induction.

And those AW 139's are owned by Interior ministry I think, although they are maintained and flown by the army.

I do not see chance of getting American heli for navy. The option left for us either UK/France helicopters OR Chinese.helicopters.This the area we are suffering not only in naval aviation but also in Army aviation.Hope u guys have heard that India has done tender for 22 Apache block 3 helicopters.

curreently navy need lot of new technology helicopter becoz of whatever we have its too old to fight with almost 30 years old and as our enemy have bought lot of submariens so we need to save our million dollar ships with few million dollar state of the art helicopter it is cheap and best and keep our enemies in check too specially NH 90 with best sonar system is as good as anything and can carry NSSG it suites our naval requirments too it is expansive but not that much expansive that we cannot buy it

Sea hawk is the best option ... Modern/Tech/latest and best for PN...
