And its disappointing that china chose to stifle the Moscow-Delhi-Beijing axis as proposed by the Russians some time back.Instead it reinforced it's decades old "contain India" policy. India is of no harm if left alone. But the same cannot be said for USA. It has a pro-active policy. So even if you leave them alone...no guarantee.

Yes, it is great that India has made its hostility toward China public. Now China can finally unleash the PLA. China's national power is at least 5x that of India. GDP is 4 x. Electricity consumption is 6x. Nuclear weapons is 20x or more.

There is no reason to let India aspire to be #1 superpower in Asia. In Asia, there can only be one -- India or China, but not both. It is in China's best interest to carve up India into smaller states.

When (not if) Indian Army starts to push PLA in the Himalayas, China should respond with a massive air and missile strike against New Delhi. That would humiliate India and encourage rebellions, separatists and civil wars all over the country.

the difference between china and India is people in India have a right to express. So if there is a war we get united leaving aside our internal squabbles as witnessed in 71. But china is sitting on a powder keg which is kept sterile by brute force and promise of development. Like Tibet and The Uighurs. Make no mistake they will take full advantage if there is a war. And look at your allies! Pakistan, which depends on US for every dollar.....or at most some obscure country. Whereas china wont be facing India alone. Add Japan, US, Singapore, Australia to the list of belligerents. Vietnam and Taiwan are also tired of chinese hegemony. So I wont count em out too. Recent change in Japan's defense policy should be a pointer to that direction. Russia will at worst stay aloof.
So before calling any bluff just think how you will call for help in case you decide to beat the war-drum

I would like to tell you another major difference between china and india is chinese people have right to eat and be away from starving.:smitten:

i fully support india's decision to get help. it is the wisest thing india has ever done, to admit its inferiority and admit that it needs all the help it can get.

In a war/match its good to have as many spectators on your side as possible, who can also throw shoes at your opponents.
We are proud to have so many admirers, which you guys just don't have.
