Indian Navy Gets US Go-ahead to Deploy EMALS and AAG on its New Supercarrier

There is no point living in denial, it's in the frontpage. I heard they are still having problems starting up Arihant.

The submarine is propelled by an 83 MW pressurised light-water reactor at its core.

India’s first indigenously-made nuclear submarine, the INS Arihant has been commissioned into service.

In 2009, Arihant was launched into the water at the ship-building centre in Visakhapatnam. In 2013, the nuclear reactor of the submarine went ‘critical’ and from December 2014 onwards, the sea trials began, which included the test firing of K-series of missiles. In what is good news for the Indian Navy, TOI reported that the construction of the second nuclear submarine, INS Aridhaman, is almost complete

It is being done.

So ? The escorts are an integral part of CBG and we have indigenous sonars for that.
We were talking about the carrier, and you suddenly talk about the sonars, does that make sense? Damn you Indies like to flip flop and lie alot.

Amazing India math. So if I started checking out Indian military at 20 years old for the past 18 years. How old would I be?

According to the report submitted by the Department of Atomic Energy to the parliamentary committee, the Arihant has completed trials & was commissioned in 2016. I'm not sure if your reports are more authoritative sources than that.

Good update, so it was only commissioned last year? The last time I read the reactor was outputting power below the designed value. I am not sure how you can solve it, unless you remove and refabricate a new reactor. Or maybe they just went ahead and reduce some electrical load and push it through to save face.

In that case you might as well talk about the whole navy.

Not to my knowledge
Most NATO members have received weapons directly.
In case US government agrees to share such critical cutting edge technologies, it will be a first.
But then again US Congress had duly noted India's spotless record of Non Proliferation during 123 agreement debate and stability of our democracy.
So apart from Britain and Israel, if ever US would want to work out such a close cooperation, it is India.
Which indirectly show how much USA want to contain China. By the way, they can make hell of money from India.

With Russia and USA support, maybe India will push foward policy along the border like 1962.

We shall prepare to fight back.

Normally, they only sell to countries they perceive as weak and easily dominated. They would also assume that nation to be incompetent in absorbing such advanced tech.

We are talking about a country needing US 'consultancy' for a simple ID card system.

No need to argue with them . My classmate who has interaction with Russian expert in the nuclear field told me the so-called indian nuclear reactor is totally Russia-designing and Russia-producing and India-installing.

In contrast, i think Chinese people should help indian to brag about their achievement and might by which they would be blind and the corrupt officials involved in the project would be safe and happy and they would dare to continue these likes in the other military programs.

We Chinese should learn from US to overestimate the threats of rivals ,cause this will make us work harder and harder.
Also, we Chinese should maintain a suspicious attitude to our weaponry and equipments to make them as perfect as possible.

'Last time you heard'. From where ? Some idiotic journalist who do not even know the basics of engineering quoting Anonymous sources ?
